Phew ....Beechie is OK after the anaesthetic.....:j:j..X ray showed he was "incredibly bunged up".....(I think thats a veterinary term
) .and vet thinks he "may" have a foreign object in his gut
(....perhaps a chunk of my hand from last year :rotfl::rotfl:)
He was given a small enema ..(the mind boggles) ....but vet says there is still loads of poo to come out as well as the foreign object _pale_...which hopefully will be achieved with a few doses of liquid paraffin ....and nothing to eat for a few days but hay ( I think Beechie will not be very happy with his new temporary diet )
Vet is also giving Grommie and Bandit the once over when I go to pick up Beech.....and also checking that Bandit has not picked up some new (unwanted) house guests from the hay .
Am being quite productive today i think......just need to get invoices raised for last month by end of today....and spend a bit of R & R time here on MSE :T:T

Shaun..I love Eeyore and seeing that cheered me up.
KC - Tesco are horrendous and I can see why Lula calls them Tatco - anyway I have now made my cottage pie and just need to put the cheddar mash on the top..I know I could have used my muddy spuds but I have other plans for them..a leek, bacon and cheese pie made with slices of spud.
Wol sorry to hear about the diet of liquid paraffin and more poops from Beechie..I wonder what he ate? Let's hope there are no fleas in the hay:eek:
I dont feel like working today so have been tweeting and exchanging tweets with boy george..he of karma chameleon fame:cool: he's great fun and even responded when I said that I hadnt realised that he airbrushed his pics so he said "girl..reality is what you make it"..well he is on the alan titchmarsh show next Tuesday so I shall settle down and watch:cool:
Having re-read my posting about the yoof with the staples in his lip - I have now come to the conclusion that I am turning into my mother:eek::eek::eek:0 -
Horace :eek: sympathies on the Tesco thingybobs - they have no sense. I've been having a right moan at Tesco Direct, who at one point were being actively rude to me, and they've just realised quite how much they're in the wrong, and are putting it right now. Did I mention I hate Tesco?
I must admit, I don't seem to have many problems with supermarkets round here - though that's probably due to the competition.
If you don't like Tesco here, it's 200 yards to Aldi, or 250 yards to Morrisons, or 250 yards to Iceland, or 450 yards to a little Sainsbury, or 3 miles to an Asda, or 3 miles to a Netto, or 5 miles to a bigger Asda, or 5 miles to a bigger Sainsbury, or 5 miles to a Lidl.
And of course there are independent fruiters, bakers and butchers on top of that, though they do seem to be struggling at times."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

It's all pretty carp here atm..........Beechie has developed gut stasis (death rattle for a piggie) and a urinary infection....(stinky)..but he is still alive and while he wont eat/drink..and I can't force feed him because it won't do any good as he has stasis...he is still hanging in there by his toenails. (No pain as he has good painkillers)
Results for the bug that was suspected came through late this afternoon as negative so we are back to the drawing board (and pressure on me for a body ) ....difficult decisions need to be made and it doesn;t help that certain "vulture vets" want a body for PM....however just rang nornal vets and explained predicament - they say it is too early to make the call to put Beech to sleep and to give him his second lot of medication at 10pm tonight and see what happens...whic is exactly what i wanted to hear....
If he is alive tomorrow morning, nice vets will look after him for the weekend...I need a break - i WILL be at the Edinburgh meet..just don;t expect lucid conversation.......
I am in bits...
