Hello everyone :santa2:
I'm really appreciative of all your posts. :A :AThanx for hanging in there, they are a great support to me at the moment and sorry I'm a bit erratic at posting.:o
It's all been a bit much over the last few weeks - demanding clients playing psychological games, the hand neuroma and having decide whether to have another op, bust computer/lost data resulting in another frustrating insurance claim, trying to clear the work backlog, then the flood, followed by demanding residents expecting me to wave a magic wand and obviously throughout this all the problems with the piggies culminating in poor Fleure:(. I've been a bit of a wreck these last two days
But if I look back on where I was two years ago at this time, mentally I was in a much worse place and at least, even if some days I have to pull up the drawbridge, hunker down and just "be"...at least I am more able to protect myself and cope with what life continues to throw my way (even if it doesn;t feel like that at the moment..I have to confess that all I wanted on thursday night was to be put to sleep like Fleure)
I still shed tears when I look into their house and see she is missing but thankfully Grommmie is quite chipper and active..(and windy :rotfl:).. He is getting lots of cuddles (and seems tolerant of my tears which make his ears wet:o). I'm hoping he doesn;t start pining - if so I will try to find him a (spayed ) lady piggie companion from a Rescue (he still has his full reproductive capabilities). Beech is now indoors under obs and it's Bandit's turn tonight to get a few cuddles and the run of the sofa
I was meant to be picking up two new baby girls this weekend for Charlie and Beech but have decided not to introduce any more piggies into the colony until the vet and I have had a chance to identify and sort whatever is going on with the rest of the pigs (Bless her, she spent her day off last week in the veterinary library reading up on piggie problems :A)
Work has taken a back seat again, so the backlog which would have been cleared last friday will now not be cleared until end of next week starting tomorrow. Rest of today is to do nothing, except watch either Pirates, StarWars or Hary Potter collections end to end and try at the same time to clear the ironing mountain which is now of Everest proportions :eek:. .......
Thanx again everyone..you're all wonderful lovely people ..and as for you naughty Numpty......you know you are a 5 star sweetheart :kisses3:

Wol you make sure you are making sure you fit in some down time.
I know catching up on your work is important, especially when you are self-employed and you can't raise the bills until you've done the work but you've had a very stressful time and need to make sure you are ready before you part putting too much pressure on yourself.
And as for that ironing pile if its only as high as everest - I'd leave it until its 2 everests before it needs tackling! One of my mottos is why do the ironing to day if you can put it off until tomorrow. In fact I almost never iron, lycra and radiators make it almost unneccesary, even my suit trousers get warmed on the raidator instead of ironed.:o
And don't mention the possibility of a new lady friend to Grommie as I'm sure with his mind games and intelligence he'll start showing signs of pining just to make sure he gets a new girlfriend!
:grouphug:Take care and don't push yourself too hard, hope you've got a nice glass (bottle?) of wine this evening.

Take care Wol - it made me cry to think of grommie sobbing..I didnt know that piggies could cry but at least he's quite chipper today even if a little windy:eek:
You are not King Canute and cannot stop the force of nature..if the river wants to flood it will and there is nothing that you can do about it..you neighbours will have to be sensible - if they don't like it they can move.
B*gga the ironing..just fold everything neatly and you should be fine. Remember to take some me time too.. take care of yourself (and the piggies):grouphug:0 -

Hi Wol,
Hope you are feeling a bit better over the weekend. It doesn't get any easier for you at times and i know a lot of getting through things is reactive rather than proactive at times. So what i am saying to you is don't allow yourself to get so low you will get through it and put it all behind you.
Chin up, or as we like to say when watching strictly- Tits and teeth, tits and teeth...:rotfl::rotfl: That way no one will ever guess anything is wrong plus they focus on the bits you want to.:rotfl:
edit to say tits got through filter- well i never!Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -

I put him out of my immediate sights for the last four weeks as he was doing well, seemed chipper.so I could cnecnetrate on other guineas.....and now I find I shouldn;t have taken my eye off him at all...:wall::wall:
Vets tomoz for him..
We WILL all get through this...:o:cool::D

Wol my lovely,
Eating & sleeping is tantamount. Like you say, you are in a far better 'place' than you were a couple of years ago, & have a small army of supporters here. If you're passing this way, welcome to bring Everest & K2 with you

Wol, go eat, and try to RELAX A BIT !!!!! You're no good to anyone, yourself included, if yer cream-crackered and stressed up to the eyeballs. Take a time-out, if only for half-hour, and collect yourself, chill, and if needs be a glass of vino. You and the piggies will feel the benefit, honest......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple0 -
