I is back..it was all Ok til I touched back down at Gatwick to
a) voicemail message from next door syainbg alarm had gone off
b) baggage conveyor broke just as my bag was coming off....got trapped and then had to endure muppet after muppet trying to fix it...got out of airport one hour later than expected ....Grrrr
Trip was OK (although didnt sleep very well), made a good friend and possibly got new business......found that burglar alarm obviously activated by sone creepy crawley rather than a robber.....and now trying to relax as got completely wired with air rage etc after getting off plane.
Picking up poorly piggies from vets at 8am tomoz, rest of piggies in Piggie Palace (including Bandit) all fit, well and pleased to see me,......right I need to crash now
Nite nite all

Glad you had a good trip despite the disasters at Gatwick. No Raspberry Angel Delight up here...did find something like Angel Delight in Lidl in Butterscotch but havent tried it yet..Merlin was on the telly and then I got distracted by the dancing thingy so it has yet to be made and eaten.
Hope piggies are all ok and that they enjoyed their holiday at the v e ts.:D0 -

Hi Lula
I shall remember to get some butterscotch in next time we meet up
Up early(ish) as the sun is out and I am having a busy day planting up the monkey garden before the soil gets too cold for the new shrubs. Also need to give the grass a final cut (if it dries out enough over today). Rest of the tidying up, pruning and bedding down for winter can happen over the coming month. How's the allotment?

HI Buffy
Best site Ive found is guinealynx - found the treatment for Fleure's kidney stones and Grommie's bloat on here - they can be a bit fearce sometimes on the emergency medical forum especially if you don;t take their advice and they think an animal is suffering unnecessarily.
http://www.guinealynx.info/
There's also a UK one called guinea pig forum
http://www.theguineapigforum.co.uk/
and the Peter Gurney website
http://www.petergurney.com/
How are your little ones settling in? Maple and Willow are awaiting piccies

Hi Angie
Piggies are doing good thank you Hun - hope you're doing OK too!
Grommie and Fleure are well on the mend now - putting on weight, both off antibiotics and Grommie seems to be particularly frisky at the moment ......it's great to see him back to his normal inquisitive and lively self. Fleure is coping well with the kidney stones medication and we will know if it's worked in a couple of weeks time when she goes for another X ray.
Beech and Muffin however are still on antibioitics..Muffin is not too hot and breathing heavily - suspect it's her heart as they saw fluid in the thoracic cavity on the X ray..so need to discuss with the vets the treatment I've found on the internet. Rest of the piggies in Piggy Palace including Bandit (who is now off antibiotics and hoping the internal abcess won;t now flare up) are all very chipper and wheeky!
Hopefully the grass will dry out enough today so they can have a last run before winter sets in....

Hi Horace
I remember my mum used to give us kids Sainsbury's Instant Whip..(particularly butterscotch as it was my brother's favourite- maybe that's why I don;t like that flavour anymore :rotfl:) ..but it was deffo not up to Angel Delight standard :rotfl:
I rather greedily scoffed a whole packet of raspberry flavour yesterday evening (well it never tastes the same after it's been kept overnight in the fridge )
Hope you get time to enjoy yours today
