Evening all - I got home at around 5pm but I did go out to get milk and have been catching up with tons of emails.

Thanks Wol for letting me visit your lovely home and to Numpty too for giving me tips about the coach and both of you for seeing me off at the bus stop...the bus home went via the M40 which was a far better route than the M1.

I don't want to see another vegetable for at least a week:eek:

Thanks to Auntie Smashed for the loveliest yorkie puds I have ever eaten (please may I have the recipe?). Thanks too to Z for being wine waiter extraordinaire thankfully I managed to climb the stairs last night without too much difficulty although my legs were a bit wonky from slurping fizzy stuff last night (wonders..why fizzy grape juice has that effect?)

It was great seeing everyone..anyway I feeling rather peckish so may wander to the chipshop for some chippy chips.:D

Horace - I'm so glad you enjoyed yourself and got to see a bit of the village. Hopefullly next time I can take you round the area and you can see the venues without a veggie in site ;).....thank you for all the chopping you did - you are an absolute star :T:T....and thank you for your lovely presents - a beautiful sunflower, a very apt mug ("Keep calm and Carry on") and some very very useful tupperware which came in very handy on the day of the Rave :kisses3:

    See you again soon Hun

Thank you Hun for all your help over the last few days :A:kisses3: - it was a great idea to get the tarpaulin for the pergola as without it we couldn;t have got everything prepared on saturday morning.....and for all the electronics (including setting up my new printer :D)....and for the wine waitering.....and for the pyrotechnics :eek:......and lastly but by no means leastly, for my lovely birthday pressies :kisses2:.....

I hope I've managed to reply and thank everyone for their combined efforts in making this the best (and most boozy;)) weekend I've had in over 20 years!!

Thank you all for coming - and for mucking in to help make it a fantastic time for everyone and to (finally) re-launch "Chez Wol" :T

The new diary (and my new life) will start next week. I DO have some serious (financial) challenges and need to get my act together ooner rather than later

I've still got to wash the bedding, re-claim the kitchen and do the last lot of batch cooking tonight (mainly courgettes/ratatouille)...and have decided I will just gently float around over the next couple of days setting things straight.

For tonight - me and the piggies are just going to chill, watch TV (if I can wrestle the remote away from Beechie :rotfl:) and eat choc (cucumber and hay for the piggies).... because more flash rainstorms are forecast (that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it :p)

Over and out for tonight....a very tired ...but very happy Wol :j:beer::beer:

    Hello lovely,

I'm so glad that you have had an opportunity to release all that stress & angst.

Torrents of rain over here too, but frankly my desert/garden really needs it as I just havent been able to water regularly & things have just had to fend for themselves :o.

Life here is pretty much bonkers for the next couple of weeks as I'm at work-job full time while DD is at camp, then doing heinous home-job 3 in the evenings but then, on Friday 20th August it all stops for 16 fabulous, gorgeous, wonderful days :j:D:j.

    No work-job & no home-job :D:j:D

    Am I a bit excited ?

    Am I ever :rotfl:

We will definitely get together to do something fun .

And NO Wol, teaching me to sell on ebay is NOT my idea of fun :p

    xx

Wol - chilling with the boyz sounds great, just what you need. Exciting to have a new diary to look forward to!

Great meeting you as well KC,

I do hope you've found out about local cable access now ?

I certainly wont be frazzling, thank you. I can work like a demon for short periods of time - particulalry when I know I can deep chill afterwards.

I'm now off to wallow in a lovely bubbly bath with a magazine & hot chocolate before updating my own diary :D

Wol - if you want a discount in the hardware shop just say how wonderful it is when you have had a mooch because he knocked money off those tupperware boxes because I complimented him on his shop:D

I enjoyed pottering around the village and the cemetery (I shall have to pop in there again because I didnt read every stone). You have a lovely home and I really didnt mind chopping for England..I remembered to say goodbye to the piggies that were awake, Muffin & Grommie were sleeping.

Have a rest in front of the telly and watch out for the rain - it chucked it down earlier but it dried up this afternoon although more is due to fall.

    Keep calm and carry on....xx

PS. My phone now works and Virgin gave me £17.50 plus 2000 minutes and 2000 texts to make up for being without a phone for a week (I get 1000 minutes and 1000 texts a month anyway so the additional ones are fab).
