Wol - isnt there a rat man near you that comes out with jack russells and finishes off the rats for you? I hate jack russells horrid snappy things.
I am looking forward to the Rave - this will be the first time that I have really met any MSE peeps:eek:
Yes Hun - said Top totty tree surgeons have their Jack russels (that by the way, junped te flood dorrs into the dining room and tried to maul the gunea pigs and we think caused Charlie's ruptured thoracic duct:()
However got a (sheepish) visit from TT a couple of weeks ago asking my advice on where he can source a couple of "look-alike" guinea pigs as his dogs had nipped over the fence at a clients and killed a couple of piggies belonging to the neighbours kids......:(:mad::mad::mad:
Needless to say dogs are now permanently banned from Wols premises:cool:
(Note - Mr Gobby also has a Jack Russell - what is it with the trades and Jack Russells???? .....but it stays in his van and is never let out - however that may temporarily change tomoz as a certain rat needs to be scared off/disposed of

hay wol, im fine thank you, work til 10pm most nights so go to bed soon after! but its summer hols next week so no early mornings for a while, whos up for ressurecting the night owls?;):)
thanks so much for the invite but were away til first week in aug is that when it is?
how are you and your hand doin?x
hay taxi, glad your feelin a little better today xxI am not bossy I just have better ideas:p0 -
Sorry to hear about rampaging jack russells - they are horrid little dogs which is why trades probably like them because they will give you a nasty nip if your hand gets too close to anything:eek:
I may be a bit quiet next week because I am feeling rather subdued at the mo because I am worried about my parents. I went to see them yesterday for the first time since March (I know, I should see them more often) and Dad looked like a piece of string with knots in and is skinner than before (his heart and kidneys are failing - smokers beware as you too can end up like my dad) and Mum has a serious heart condition now as well (hypobaric arrythmia or something that sounds like it - where the heart beats in all sorts of wierd ways). She looked like death warmed up yesterday but she is really tired because of some stupid tablets the doc has given her which give her horrendous nightmares and keep her awake at night (apparently these are normal side effects:mad:)...so I am feeling a little bit low and scared. I am thankful that Dad is still here because back in 2006 it was touch and go and he could have dropped down dead at any time (he still could) but I think me staying away when I have been near germs has helped him survive a bit longer.
Its not all bad though as today I have booked the caterer (just need to send the food order), the venue has confirmed the booking, the magician and the variety act have been booked for the DDBC Dinner on 1st October so that is on weight off my shoulders..talking of weight I lost 2lbs last week on my first week of WW:cool:0 -
That is a shame about the Jack Russel dogs, horrible that they may tear up GP'sBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -
