    Hi Everyone.

Firstly Smashed Hun....I have animals too & we give them all our love & it hurts so much when they are gone....but you must smile when you remember the happy, smiley times that you had & be thankful that you were priviledged to have had him in your life.:A

Wol.....Sweetie I`m going to rename you whirlwind !! ( or rather wolwind:D)....goodness me do you never slow down girl?!

Try & get some rest...can you take a day off?....have a PJ day/`me` day whatever you call them, but just veg out on the sofa with a book. DVD, ipod & turn your brain off for a few hours. It will pay dividends in recovery from this cold.

Take it easy & I hope you have a lovely weekend.

    Hi everyone

Thankx for posting and keeping my spirits up even though I;ve not been around :o. Hope you;re all well (including all our furry and featherd friends :D) and that Horace (together with pink suitcase) has returned safely with a deal in her pocket :T

Sorry I've not been on for a bit but it has been absolutely manic......working and jumping loads of hurdles is the best way of describing it....:wall:

    a) firstly I got so crashingly miserable and depressed thursday evening and then realised it was because my hormone patches had run out., Thursday through to saturday also added a couple more wine bottles to my collection.:( Fortunately I found a spare patch in the drawer on sunday (must have fallen out of the packet) so hopefully I can last through til I get new supply without crashing again..

    b) GP on friday has, under protest, given me prescription for one month more to tide me over til I see consultant- but according to the chemist there is a manufacturing problem so no can do..........so I rang round other pharmacies and got the same story.... I refuse to give up . Today I found out that there isn;t a manufacturing problem ..........I rang the manufacturer direct  - it would appear that the wholesalers who supply the chemists have been taking advantage of exchange rates and selling the UK drug supplies abroad instead (applies to a lot of medicines ) - I have now delivered the manufacturers special phone number to my chemist so they can order direct (costing them more money but that's their problem). Interesting however that the pharmacists were unaware of all this (despite Govt being informed and is investigating) and quite happy to do absolutely [STRIKE]f'all[/STRIKE] nothing to help patients who find themselves in my predicament Another hurdle successfully cleared :T

    c) Also got appointment from hormone consultant for two weeks time but they want a mammogram. GP says I can;t get one for three years and even if he referred me as an emergency with breast symptoms (which I havent got) he doubts I would be able to prise the actual X rays off the NHS for a good few months. Private health won;t cover the claim automatically as outside the hopsital list they cover. So have had to fill in claim form and justification/plea, got statement from GP on friday and generally jump through lots of hoops. Spent friday afternoon and sunday afternoon on it and have now desptatched all letters/documentation etc to insurance company. Also spoke to consultant's secretary and have been advised to keep the appointment for 24th March and mammogram can follow. Tick next hurdle off list :T

    d) Got referral for new hand surgeon - again on the private so should be seen early April :T.....It was a big decision to convert my company scheme to a private policy when I left as it;s not cheap- but it's been an abolsute godsend over the years (particularly over the tumour) - shame I have just busted my no claims in the space of two weeks though :rotfl:Tick third item off list

    e) Most client work now up to date - spent the whole weekend working from 6am right through til midnight.:( Very busy week again this week and just about keeping head above water. Have some work to do tonight still  and also given two new cients on friday to push through by 31st March. Was also asked to do extra work for private client over the weekend which was emailed early this morning at about 1am . The up side is that I shall be invoicing more in March than I will have invoiced for the last four months :)..this will cover me for April, May and the Rave :T...but I have to say I am SO looking forward to work winding down at Easter :D

    f) Sent more emails regarding the Rave (sorry those who PM:d last week for my tardy reply :o) - still some to do - but it's looking good so far folks :j

    g) meetings with ex boss - still talking through stuff and delaying a decision but interesting developments which I won;t go into (but am feeling more positive ;))

    h) Flood forum went well - short but sweet and things looking good for money to be thrown at a feasibility study to sort out best way to solve the stream flooding via modelling the results for the different proposals :T

    i) Piggies all OK - although Ginger now needs to be booked in to have his eyes/lump etc doneI think

    j) Sent my mum a card that arrived ON TIME (for once :o) and rang her on sunday

    k) No word from BBC - good job as not sent photos yet as haven;t cleaned house for two weeks and it is an absolute piggie [STRIKE]sty[/STRIKE] parlour :o

Oh...and Mount Kilimanjironing now approaching Everest proportions :rotfl:

Right - off to eat and then more work - early start to drive to client tomorrow morning. Hopefully by next weekend I should be back in a position to post regularly again

Still to organise - Pick up guinea meds tomoz, Book Vet appointment for Ginger, Opticians appointment for new glasses, car service/MOT/tyres and chase up Ombudsman

Plus keep on top of the work

dont' forget to sleep, it's not good for you to do so much in such a short amount of time.

I always felt sorry for the squirrel type animals in Ice Age.

i'm drowning at work at the moment, may be able to see the light at the end of April, it's just our busy time, if one more person asks when x will be done they won't get the usual, 'it will be quicker if people stop interupting me' response and will get poked in the eye!
