What do you *honestly* feel about it? Unexpected? An error? Or a portent?

    An Unexepected Portent

You always ask the right question Z (not necessarily the easy ones mind) but get to the nub (knub?) of the matter.

Is this the type of guy you can sit down with and discuss you concerns?

Yes - which is what I did - but he can;t see wood for trees :wall::wall:

If you could do this it will tell you whether he is going to go for the bulldozer approach throughout the relationship. Is he someone who is going to be able to admit that you are more financially savvy than him and therefore could know better on some decisions?

It's not a bulldozer approach - his problem is he doesnt like upsetting people - even if they are being completely unreasonable or are jeopardising the business...... he's a lovely cheery bloke who always tried to work out the best deal for everybody (and be liked!!) but in the process he always cuts himself/his company the short straw. ..and then wonders why his businesses haven;t made him his million yet (insert confused smiley)

Or could some part of him previously choosing to work with the incompetent one be because he needs to feel smarter than the people he works with? (hope I've got it right and am talking about the right person here).

Be careful with money but in business be even more careful with who you trust.

    Edit: deleted

So on the birght side, thank goodness this has happened now before I threw in my lot with him :T:T

Ugh :(...this lurgy is getting worse - now have headache, nausea, aches and wobbly legs...in addition to the sneezing and snot.. I do hope this isn;t going to develop into a "KC Special" ;)

Dragged myself out of bed this afternoon to chair the Flood Forum, (had been tipped off there might be angry exchanges on one topic but managed to keep it brief, to the point and everyone seemed happy :D) Done nothing again today work wise so now two days backlogged plus been given two additional clients to put through one of the progammes before end of March  plus more paid work from existing private client to complete this weekend ....still it's all money and I need to make hay etc etc :). Client meeting first thing tomorrow morning, one on friday and then every day next week is booked up as the "sausage factory" goes into overdrive :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Had a lovely natter with Taxi earlier and then with Smashed. :A:AHave reclaimed the kitchen by doing dishwasher duty  and now have a chicken pie in the oven :D. I have also remembered to put the bins out tonight :T

However I am really missing giving the piggies their cuddles :( (the jury is out on whether they can catch our colds or not but in my own experience they have developed respiratory problems in the past when I;ve had a cold so I'm not prepared to risk it).

Hopefully things will be back to normal by end of the week - they need to be as I have to get myself organised and prepared this weekend if i am to survive the heavy workload for rest of the month

Oh Wol, sorry you've got such a lurgy - I really, really hope it doesn't develop into what I had :(

I'm glad to hear, though, that you haven't thrown in your lot yet with too-generous ex-boss, someone who gives money away is not the best sort of business partner to have!

And I understand missing piggy cuddles too ..... hope you can soon

Very tired tongiht ...just put in 11 hour work day (including my first ever visit to Bognor :rotfl::rotfl:)....roast chicken dinner tongiht then straigth to bed. Really need to do another 3 hours work this evening to keep on target.....but *** it - I NEED my bed

Taxi - I am so pleased that arrangements have worked out so well and that you will be coming down for the Rave :T:T

LT, Buffy and Penguin - just to let you know I am not sure I will have completed the practical aspect of the rodentology course by end of July (hopefully I will but see how the client work goes over the next couple of months as I have to sit the theory first :D) - so I may not be able to do "dentals"...(.but I can cut claws and have three spare "guinea hotel" cages ;))

Oi Beechie and Iroko - Look - I;ve done what you asked....can you please stop twisting my arm and biting my nails Sheesh - the lengths these boys will go to for [STRIKE]the chance of a legover[/STRIKE] a glimpse of a bit of skirt :rotfl:
