Happy New Year Wol - sorry to hear of your bad piggie news - I am really lost for words although you did make me laugh with Beechie leaving his mark in your ironing basket:eek:

Things have been fairly quiet here - I had a friend stay over and have at last got some christmas pressies - a spy pen, some posh choc from Italy and yesterday another gift in the form of a portable dvd player with an 8hr battery time so that if the power does go again I can at least watch DVDs in bed:cool:

Was due to go to a breakfast meeting this morning followed by another meeting but rang the chap I was supposed to meet at 6.30am to say that I wasnt venturing out having seen the forecast:eek: I made the right decision as by 9.30am the snow was falling heavily - we have had about 2inches with another 25cm promised (about 10 inches:eek:). Friend left to go to Worcester but gave up after twits in sportscars spinning their cars and I had a phone call at around lunchtime to say that he was at the shopping village in Bicester and had already been to Helly Hansen and TOG and was about to wander into my favourite shop Musto to see if he could bag a bargain:D

I have spent the day, washing up, doing my washing which is now drying in the living room and watching the telly. I did go to the bank earlier and came back looking like a snow woman:eek: - crossing the dual carriageway was a game in itself as the road was covered in snow and ice and one chappy in a sports car decided that he was just going to keep going through the red light so thankfully I had the sense to remain on the pavement instead of being knocked into the air by the stupid lummux.

Horace my lovely - I am so glad you posted. And so pleased to hear you have Xmas pressies at long last :T:T

Thanx for you concern - it is much appreciated.

Beechie boy got further revenge today while I was on the phone to Numpty - unfortunately he now has diarrhoea and decided, (following the fact his tummy has been shaved and KY-jellied for ultrasound at the vets today) he was going to get his own back and deposit his next "load" while sitting comfily in my lap and pretending to be all lovely dovey...pheeeawwwww _pale_..worse than a baby's nappy .

Ref the business stuff - nothing is more important than your own personal safety/health etc.so if you feel it's risky then don;t do it.. There's no such thing as a successful dead business person ;) . I know us dynamic business ladies are under pressure to "perform" and "be there" - but this last year I have really reduced my networking/go-out-in-all-weathers/respond to the call of clients and tbh I haven;t suffered....(YET!! :rotfl::rotfl:)

What clinched it for me was inching my way along 5 miles of sheet ice country road last Feb to visit a client and realising (after the second round of heart palpitations courtesy of Surrey wife no 121 in their 4 x 4 :rotfl::rotfl:) that actually, this was really NOT a good idea because the amount of money I would have earned was paltry compared to the loss of earnings if some imbecile had driven into me and caused injury.

Keep your chin up Hun..and lots of hugs....always here on the phone if you want a chat.

Families, Wol! Who'd have them? Whatever it is, you will get through it with Gloria as your inspiration.

Re piggies - glad you are feeling a bit more optimistic about them, and as far as Beechie's little problem is concerned - have you tried a well-greased cork?:D
Take care, 2010 can only get better from here.

I bloomin' well hope so .there's been a lot of pretty gutty info to take in over the last three days. .....

BUT....the good news is that this time two years ago I would be in bits...and today I am only in largish pieces :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Hugs to you....(and I won;t wish on you a smelly presentation from Beechie :rotfl:..even if it does mean that he loves you :rotfl::rotfl:)
