Wol Hun....my thoughts are with you & I am so upset by the news today.

Be strong Sweetheart....crying is the best way to let the grief out even though it may not feel like it at the time. Charlie is at rest now...its heartbreaking but there was no more that you could have done.

Sending you <<hugs>> & if you need a chat with a fellow nightowl through the night then just pm....don`t feel you are all alone.

So so sorry to hear about Charlie. Really thinking of you and all you are going through hun. Remember its always okay to cry or to scream or to rant and rave on here. We all understand and we all care about you and the piggies. That is such a lovely piccy of Charlie with Numpty. His life may have been short but he couldn't have hoped for a more caring or experienced carer than you.

Hope that the vets finally come up with some answers and quickly as well.

    (((Hugs))).

Just caught up with the news - so sorry, wish I could wave a magic wand or something. Somewhere out there is the reason or rationale for why this keeps happening, and one day soon we hope it will become clear. In the meantime hang on in there - good vibes are being sent your way.

    :o:o:o:o...Gosh, I can;t believe how much I cried last night :o:o:o:o

I really do appreciate all your posts - thank you. :A:A

Collected Charlie from the nice vets today and he is now underneath a lovely tree heather, that is covered in white flowers all through the winter and next to Whisp who is under a red Pittosporum that I planted earlier this year in Guinea Grove

Vet found some abnormality with Charlie's heart and possibly adrenal glands during the PM and has sent loads of tissue samples off (also got culture results back today from the chest fluid which were negative for bugs). Still no firm answers but looking more like congenital heart defects in his mind....we shall wait and see.

Ironing in front of the telly this afternoon while letting all the piggies take turns to explore the sofa :D

This evening I think I will deffo have a long hot bath and go to bed early as I feel very drained....need to get myself sorted workwise for the month.....and do those blessed accounts :o

Good morning Wol, hope the sun is shining a little brighter for you today. (Well, not right this minute, of course). Were any of the guinea pigs who died related? If so, it could be something genetic, and other non-blood related guinea pigs will be fine. Must say I have empathy for vets, humans are difficult enough to understand, but what must it be like to work with a number of different species?
