Morning All!
Sky City has been visited by the energy fairy this morning:j:j:j. Have tidied the living room (was a bit of a mess as had PiL over late last night and after they'd gone I contracted CBA) put on a washload, emptied and refilled the dishwasher, cleaned kitchen side and oven prided oven and its rack ( love that stuff). Can anyone clarify for me, I think I can put the racks in the dishwasher at the end of their oven pride time, have I gone fruit loopy or am I right?????
I've also gone through a HUGE pile of bubblewrap in preperation of learning some mad new packing skills. Got tonnes of the stuff from work's produce section...
Right need to empty the bin ( had fish last night and the packaging is getting a bit smelly after being allowed to lie around all night:rolleyes:), sort the dry laundry out and popped to the shops for a couple of bits and to move some money around.
Hugs and Loves to all in need, congratulations to those who have sorted job stuffs and happy day vibes to all:D!!!!!Now MARRIED!11/09/100 -
I need to go out today to sort my son out with a bank account for his EMA, I dont see why it cant be paid into mine, he will spend it all on shoite:rolleyes:
When my DS was at 6th form his friends got EMA.....but he didn't & felt left out.....(we paid for everything) so we agreed to put the equivalent, think it was £30 a week into his account & let him budget from that...he felt the same as his friends & soon learnt where the money goes.........so long as you outline what you expect him to cover from it they soon adapt.methekidsandthecat wrote: »
DS has phoned Southampton Solent Uni but can't get an answer until 9am. Has anyone been through this process before? I am finding it difficult to get answers as to where he has to go - UCAS or direct to the Uni.
Positive vibes for your DS......I think UCAS are the best option, because it all goes through them anyway......has he been offered a place on condition of A level results? Was Solent his 1st/2nd choice, has he just left college/6th form because they can be helpful in offering advice.....we went through the uni system last year & it is a nightmare........but it works out in the end.....good luck.
Must go & do something because sexymouse is coming round this morning.......probably to see the kittens rather than me...:p
Back later

I think that's a fantastic idea, they do feel left out it was a weekly event at Uni/college when the students came in to hand in their EMA forms!!! I would definately do this when DD1 starts 6th form or college.
Right on with the HHC - bit late but hey ho:eek:;)0 -

Thankyou Lady-Liberty
He has rung UCAS this morning and they suggested ringing the Uni direct. He didn't apply until a few weeks ago as he thought he would not get enough points - poor advice from College - but that is another story. However he got a DM in a BTEC which equates to 200 points - the courses at the Uni are for 160 points. The track system is not open until mid morning and the Uni help desk has been engaged since 9. Oh well he can keep trying but I have to go to work.......

Morning all
I'm still off sick today and if anything feel worse. Seems to be moving onto my chest and my ear is quite dore too. Have got an appt with the nurse practitioner at 10.30am. I'm pretty sure it's a viral thing but my mum heard me cough and is worried it's a chest infection.
I'm in a bit of a dilemma. I have tickets booked this afternoon to see my best friend in Birmigham until Sat. I feel so bad letting her down and I've paid for the train tickets (non-refundable i think). I'm not sure whether I'm up to it or not. it might be fine, once I get there but on the other hand I can't speak for more than a few minutes without my throat burning. I guess I've answered my own question but I'll wait until i've seen the nurse.
very little flying yesterday or today. DH bought me a lovely big bunch of flowers which i put in a vase!Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0
