Then in the afternoon we went out and ordered carpet(being fitted sat) and brought some more paint. Then said we'd treat the kids to a wackywarehouse play and meal.....after 25 mins of hunting we finally found a wacky in the new area but when we got there the wacky was closed!!!!!! whooops. Anyway, we ended up having the best night ever. Because the kids couldnt go into the wacky we said they could have adult puddings, and halfway through tea we discovered it was family night and they had a disco and party games. It was like being in a holiday park! We didnt get home till 9pm, and the kids had so much fun! Chuffed cus wacky would have cost about 7quid but the disco was free! Just getting the energy to go and finish painting the loo and then do the gloss work! x

OK never got to do any more after my last post yesterday as ended up going for a walk with the kids and picking a load of damson, blackberries and pears from the hedgerows and footpaths.
So only aiming for 1 or 2 today with a bit of catchup from yesterday and still blasting the laundry/ironing piles.
Plus as it is sunny need to get out into the garden for a bit.

Good morning. Another late start for me. I am getting rid of some things from the garden today on Freecycle so that is what I have been organising.
DH is better today and has a days work. We are thankful of any odd days he gets atm.
I am off to brush the stairs, they are uncarpeted so I will be doing the bottom shuffle!!

Morning all! I've been up ages and have put out the rubbish and recycling, cleaned all the bins (and a bit of the carpet where something leaked out of a binbag!), had a shower, dyed my hair, cleaned the bath and sink of hair dye , put the towels in the wash and sorted a drawer in the kitchen cos dad is going to fix the back of it! Is it bedtime yet

Triker - so pleased you're feeling better :jFroddy - congratulations on getting your meters sorted out! It's one of those things that is so easy to put off, and it's nice to have done. Have you now sorted out a good dual fuel online deal?
Not yet cos I need to see how much I'm using and how much the DD on the electricity will be. I have to wait 4 weeks and then give a meter reading so they can work out the DD. Then I'll get on to it
Jinky - hope you're ok
rach - hugs; take it easy
I'm off to dad's now - back later x"There's only one way of life and that's your own" - Levellers

Got to the bottom of the ironing basket, and this is a shameful story...
DD2's car seat that she outgrew at 9 months old (she is now 2) has been sitting in the laundry giving me reproachful looks all that time, because I couldn't work out how to get the cover off to wash it. Gave it to DH as a challenge today, and he...got out the instruction booklet and did it in 2 min flat
So now I can wash it and put it in the attic, so I will be able to move in the laundry again, yay! Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
