Thank you all so much for your thoughts, mails, and kindness over Rosie, she has come to join us for a bit. <<< :D I hope no one minds.

Not really done anything last night, except swept the floor and cuddled cat1, who seemed to know some thing was wrong, as he brought me half a dead mouse or vole at 4am this morning!

He and Rosie were not best mates but did tolorate each other, just before I took Rosie to the vets, he went and sat next to her, looked at her, and sort of touched noses with her, almost as if he was saying goodbye.......................

Anyway life goes on, turf sorted so I can pick it up on Friday morning, suggested I brought cash with me and the price fell by £10, so result! If you don't ask you may not get!! :T

Thank you again everyone................now back to work.

    Hi everyone

Miss A and W are on hols and apparently the first site is very nice and has a great play area :) After setting the caravan up they were going to the mucky pub for dinner.

I had a good time out at my friends last night. This morning I have been gutting Miss A's room, it is definitely a WIP  the landing is covered in 'stuff' but progress is being made. If I can get it all done today then Miss A will be told it stays that way from now on!

Not caught up on all the thread but shan't do that now or I will not crack on with Miss A's room.

Hugs all round, will catch up later.

Not yet cos I need to see how much I'm using and how much the DD on the electricity will be. I have to wait 4 weeks and then give a meter reading so they can work out the DD. Then I'll get on to it ;)

Not true... it'll be too low if they base it on consumption at this time of year. Do you have details of previous meter readings? Ideally you need to work out number of units used in a calendar year and then you can find the best deal. Alternatively if you know how much you were spending on topups, get them to set that as the monthly DD and only review after a full 12-month cycle of usage to allow for seasonal variation. You pay in arrears anyway, so it's not like they're sitting on your money - you just don't want to find you can pay if the small monthly shortfall gradually builds up to a big one over time!

Greenbee- I would keep quiet till they formally issue you with notice in writing. I don't see that you need to tell them at all? Otherwise they may try to argue that you are resigning during aperiod of consultation rather than being made redundant.
I'm not actually planning on formally telling anyone, but I'm finding it really hard keeping it quiet from everyone who keeps asking me how I am and how the job hunt is going! Hopefully the letter is in the post... and it should have the details of the training package in it (I'm worried that they'll try to take that back even if they don't do the rest, on the basis that if I've got a job I don't need it...). Still, not long to go, as I've been asked to go and have a final meeting and hand back my stuff on the 28th. The email from my boss's PA says my last working day will be the 28th, but I haven't had a letter confirming my termination date as the 31st yet!

No flying done yet, but I've had my massage and my meeting. I'm off to make some phone calls and sit in the sun for a bit. I'll catch you all later...

Am plodding on with the list have also done the upstairs cupboard, changed the unit in the bathroom to a smaller one(looks much better:D), have posted a huge list on freecycle which includes all DS'S baby blankets which i found in the cupboard  and said unit from the bathroom. Visited my aunt(she is feeling well and her second course of chemo starts at the begining of sept). While sorting the cupboard i found 20 terry nappies ( not sure what to do with them, anyone got any ideas? will they make good cleaning cloths?). Am going to grab a cuppa and try to get the rest of todays list done.x
