Taxis back to basics...debt and mortgage free before 50(feb 2014)

Right ...I'm back....that was hard work and at the moment it looks more messy than it did earlier....just got two more drawers in the filing cabinet to go through and then it can all go in some kind of order....
Then I'll have to have a look around upstairs to see if there'sany up there...mmm....then do the accounts...
Am having a rest now and have a nice cup of tea here...
Emptied loads of files and boxes etc and sorted it into rubbish....recycling and keep and file.....so atage 1 should be complete today....that is to find all paperwork.
PS Don't know how long my light was on as I wasn't here..perhaps it stays on so long after you've logged off.

Thanks Dragon....i have to at least of tidied it away by the time DH gets up as you can hardly move.
The plan is all the business stuff in a big box and all the household stuff put away in the files by the time DH gets up and then I can make a start on the accounts from tomorrow.

I really,really need to come up with a good filing system as all this malarkey causes me hours of stress every year.

Need to start thinking ...mmmm

Can you not just sit down once a week a keep on top of it that way. Even write it on the calendar so its going to happen and treat it like a 'job' IYKWIM

Right I'm back and knackered!!!!
I've managed to file and clear away the household papers...so that's good.
All the business ones are in a great big box awaiting sorting and making into accounts....won't do them though until I've checked the rest of the upstairs for paperwork(a lot of stuff got shoved up there during the decorating down here..so strong possibility there's some up there)...
On the good news front.....I've found the log in details for mortgage and only owe £45397.78 at 0.99%...so will update that in my first post of this thread...
I found quite a lot of £1 coins and other loose change in my coat pockets so will count that up....I found a pedometer and a couple of fitness DVDS still in their wrappers unused...oh dear....so they can help with my fitness(when I get some energy)
DH is getting up now I think....so will need to make him a brew.

I'm back again...and guess what?
I've searched all of upstairs and there was just one receipt I needed...yahoo...
Not only that I've now found DGS remote for his Robosapien,the remote for the DVD player I gave to DS,the receipts for DSs rent(for his house.)...and the toothbrush charger amongst a few other bits that I'd forgotten we'd got.
I also found a sweet jar with an assortment of coins in it so will count up my findings later...lol....
DH is off tonight and has just gone to get himself some beer and he's bringing me back chocolate and pop and he's paying so another NSD today for me.
