You've been active on quidco! I got over £70 last month, mostly from Virgin cable - it would have been over £80, but Tesco paid me to take some sim cards last year, and I never used them, so they took the money back  Still a great result tho.

EDIT: I see I was reading a post from yesterday :D ah well, what I wrote is still true. And you've been going great guns on your paperwork - thats even better, sets you up to spring forward again.

Hi all...I've been productive in christmas shopping this afternoon.
Firstly DH wanted 2 chess books that he'd seen on Amazon for £42 odd in total.
I looked further into the site and found them for a total of £36 so saved him £8..it was still on Amazon but a seller...book depositry..they looked like they had good feedback and they were still brand new...DH will be buying these himself so now owes me the money.

I'm quite pleased with myself as I'm scared of online shopping..lol....and Amazon is quite scary when you have to guess how it works..as those extra sellers are only in small print on the page..mmm.

Then, I ordered another chess book off his list also new for his christmas present again from the book depository....(he doesn't know about that one).

Then I ordered 2 bottles of Escada perfume to finish off DDS hampers....£33 ish.

Then I ordered 3 bottles of Paco Rabanne million dollars after shave ..for 2 DSs and 1 SIL...£27.50 each...made a mistake there as that site is on Quidco for 6.5% CB...silly woman.

I then went on that site on quidco and purchased 100ml + lipgloss midnight be delicious for £40...

I already have DGS christmas present so only need his birthday present for beginning 3rd Jan.

That's my christmas shopping virtually done now...so am happy with that.

MUST GET ORGANISED - MUST GET ORGANISE - Milann muttering to herself :o:p:o

You've done brilliantly with the shopping, I'm lethal at online shopping keep finding too many bargains.

These are two good sites worth looking at-

    www.halfcost.co.uk

They usually put new stock in on a Friday, sometimes it can be hit and miss, as to whether you like the stuff, but come January, the xmas cards and wrapping paper is dirt cheap.

If they haven't applied any discount to the order, there is a box where you can add discounts generally

FF15 (knocks 10% off the order)

    www.95pence.com

Great mix of items, from household to stocking fillers xx

Thou don't my trick, thought I was ordering 80 xmas cards at £4.99, the box came it was 800 cards for £4.99!
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

Just back from dropping cheque and stuff to office because I popped into DDs house as it's just by the office.Stayed and had a couple of coffees and a good natter.
Milann I only decided to do the shopping today as DH wanted these books he'd seen on Amazon and wanted me to order and pay for them on my card (he will give me the cash later)..good job I did it as he only noticed the great big whopping Amazon picture..whereas I noticed the quite small writing saying 4 new/2 used so thought I'd have a look in that section and they were cheaper.
Then when I'd ordered his stuff...I had a good look around the site and found the other stuff...I made a mistake as what I should've done is checked Quidco to see if any of the sellers were on there..luckily only one was but ended up placing another order through them anyway.....
Once I started on the Christmas presents I thought I might as well get them all done now...there was a few reasons behind that:
    (1) I hate going to town looking for stuff especially in the crowds
    (2) It gets really really busy on the cab as other people are out doing christmas shopping.
(3)Doing it at this time of year avoids the places running out of stock and long delivery times.

I'm quite proud of myself managing to navigate and work Amazon out.
Ebay is my next fear to overcome!!!!

Mum2one...I'll have a look at those sites thanks.I remember now you mentioned those when we met up.

Well, thats good reasoning, to do your own stuff now and make the most of the fares come ordinary Christmas shopping time. That little button that you found on Amazon is a real winner, isn't it - I thought I'd worked hard at pricing that microwave I bought on Amazon (with the qype voucher) - but that button saved me another £20.

Ooh Taxi, I'm envious of having dropped the stuff off at the accountant's. Mind you, after reading that you were doing them, I've got them out again, and at least worked on the bankings. Turned out I did a rough draft for the first six months, so thats now done. And since I've put them on the computer, the structure is a lot easier now - so the bankings are about 60% listed. With all the fiddly transfers and Amazon/mystery shopping payments, thats no mean feat! Thanks, Taxi....

Off to chase you round the boards now.........

Glad you're getting there with them Karma...I really really hate that job!!!

I am still up to date on mine as I do them every day now...they will be ready when April comes.

I don't total them though I just list everything in and out...I should seperate fuel, badges etc etc...
I just start at the beginning of the month and write down for the date what comes in and what goes out....obviously with fuel.etc written next to it.

Perhaps one day I will get clever and be able to use a spreadsheet..LOL
