Phew- glad about the appt Taxi- not so glad about the other stuff. I am sure you will cope with it as brilliantly as you have coped with everything else. xBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -
HI taxi. I'm so sorry to hear the disappointing results. Really sorry that you have to deal with longer/less pleasant treatment options. Good luck with it, I am 100% confident you will deal with it in the best possible taxi-fashion, just wish you didn't have to.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620

Thanks everyone...am feeling better that I'm now back in control.
I will give it everything I've got to fight it anyway.
Am now over the initial shock and am going to go and try wigs on tomorrow.
I plan on not doing much over the next few weeks but am looking forward to my weekend away at Wols house.I'll probably be starting chemo in the week that I come back but will know my whole plan by next week.
I'm just going to take each treatment a step at a time.0 -
That sounds like a very sensible plan, glad you are feeling ok with it.
Hope you enjoy your weekend away - a change of scenery sounds just what you need x0 -
Hey taxi just caching up ... I am glad you know exactly what your up against now and that you have a way forward .... There's no if or buts anymore there is the way forward and the finish line might be just a tad further away ... The journey may be a bit longer in reaching .... But the result is going to be the same ... U win.... Just think though ... U don't need to shred for a wee while yet ... U get to have more relaxation and spoiling never a bad thing .... We might have to drag u to the finish line if u get to comfy
Am delighted you have a way forward and booger to the yucky bits ... Let me know if I can do anything ... Soun0 -
it's definitely what I need and am looking forward to it...it was booked before diagnosis.0

Taxi
So sorry to hear your news - but I know that you have it in you to fight it. It's great that you have plans to look forward to - they'll keep you motivated.
Have you thought about keeping a little scrap book of things that you can look forward to and things that make you smile for when things seem really hard - photos of JJ and pictures/brochures for Cuba? Just an idea.
Sending you lots of hugs.

Thanks Urg...good idea.
The thing that's hit me hard is that triple negative is not as treatable and can get it back very quickly and has a worse prognosis at survival rates at 5 years...that is scary. Before I had every confidence that I'd be around in 20 years.
Now my battle is to make it to two years without recurrence or secondaries and then onto 8 years where my chances are as good as hormone positive ones. This is one hell of a fight ahead.0 -
Taxi is counselling available to you if you want it?0
