Ouch to the car costs, but you sound very calm which is good. It's great that with all your debts gone, you can relax a bit. But all your years of being frugal have also served you well in terms of managing your cash.
My car needs a service at the end of the month, I got a quote for £80 yesterday "all being well" so fingers crossed for that.

Hope you're feeling better about things this week :)

Am not too bad just getting impatient regarding getting results and what the next step of treatment will be.

I have all my servicing repairs done at the dealership but am thinking of trying to find somewhere else to do them.

Am waiting for the chinese that DH is treating us to.That will be nice.

I'M calm most of the time now as stress isn't good for anyone.

Have just sent £21 from paypal to my bank...so that can go in the mortgage pot when it arrivesas that's my next bit on the hit list...

    Glad that's over, Taxi. :)

As for the pits, well, that's, just the pits! ;) Hope you get through without The Pot being touched.

I'm opening a seperate savings account and dividing my car expenses into 12. Now that you have some money to spare, perhaps it might be worth considering the same?

I have some seperate pots for stuff like that but unfortunately nothing was in them...lol.
It's hard to work out car expenses per year as they are so variable...

I know. Perhaps you can have a 'what the car cost me this year' pot, then add a random couple of hundred pounds to it on top. Then, if it comes to a bit more, you can pay for it out of that, and if not, you get an extra payment in the mortgage! ;)

There is no point in negative thought, it takes up time and energy which could be used in a positive, happy way!
