I've just caught up and there is lots of lovely news on here!
I have a Panni and would never go back to shop bought bread. I tried a tupperwear tub but it didnt keep as well as it does in one of the old fashioned type metal/enamel bread bins.
I didn't like the Asda flour and usually stick to Tescos. I've also not tried any of the receipes in the book apart from the usual white, brown and 50/50 types. Keep meaning to try the pepperoni one!
Have a good day, not sure if you have anything planned. x0 -
Morning - still flying here. Thought I'd sleep for hours and hours but woke up at quarter to six and there's no going back to sleep so I think an early morning stroll might be in order (if unheard of:rotfl:)...
Got home from hospital at about 7. Me and OH called in to our local where I had 2 halves of cider - my first after 18 months of treatment... Then we called into our friends who had helped out with emergency lifts and stuff to tell them the news. Then it was phone calls followed by dinner watching second half of the Brazil game. Then just me OH and DS in the garden chatting til about 2am.
It was a really still night here so they set off a chinese lantern which looked amazing and we all just stared at that in til the light went out. That was our quiet time. I've never seen one before - it was lovely. Apparently they are a sign of Good Luck, Prosperity, Hope and Longevity - I did think of you Taxi (but I think it covers any DFW that wants it).
I don't usually like letting things off like balloons and stuff - just seems like (beautiful) litter to me but it fell in the field so we could collect it!.
Glad the exam went well mum2one - I did OU when the kids were little. I remember frantically trying to express breast milk for the first time before an exam when youngest was about 8 weeks old. We were running a bit late which didn't help. I managed to spray the kitchen quite spectacularly but eventually aimed a thimbleful into the bottle - he slept through the whole bliddy thing and only woke for a feed after I'd finished the exam.:D
Hmm sorry if that's too much info - enjoy your breakfast, folks:rotfl:!

Congratulations Lenza! LOL at spraying the kitchen, thats fairly unusual :rotfl: Taxi, the manuka honey seems to be the way to go, and I really love the sound of what the breadmaker can do.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

That sounds so fantastic Lenza..am really really made up for you...sounded like a lovely way to celebrate last night.
Must look up the Manuka when I've finished on here...lol
I've watered the plants
Done the washing up
Washed a couple of wash loads and put them on the line
Have put a pan of homemade lentil, onion and carrot soup on..which we will have with the h/m bread I made last night
Am just tottering about today as want to reserve energy for surgery on Friday.
Getting a bit nervous about it now...but am sure I'll be fine x
Forgot to saY DH is at work at the moment.0 -
I'm sure you *will* be fine, Taxi, but its bound to make you nervous. You've been through the decisions, you know what your plans are - in that situation, I'd say - try to focus your attention away from it, try not to think about it. Keeping busy? But you get tired..... what about keeping busy with something that doesn't require physical effort, like a facial? With music in the background?2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Thanks KC ..am keeping occupied..have just read up on manuka honey...still not sure whether to get some.So will think about it.Though it won't do any harm to take it.0

Have just enjoyed a lovely brunch...
H/M LENTIL SOUP + H/M BREAD
FOLLOWED BY ORGANIC STRAWBERRIES AND ORGANIC DOUBLE CREAM....YUM
Am really stuffed now but it was delicious..lol0 -
Lovely lunch, I'm judt about to have mine, I'm starving. And the manuka certainly won't do any harm - its sold under foodstuffs, anyway, not under medicine. Is the price putting you off, Taxi?2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Have just phoned the insurance company to see if they had received the consulatants report and they hadn't...so the lady from ins phoned consultants secretary who is going to e mail her a copy now....
That means that it will go off to the department and she is going to phone me about this time next week to let me know whats going on...so the wheels are moving now....
The price does put me off and the sweetness of honey...lol..but reading about it it helps heartburn and indigestion both of which I get sometimes....I have no doubt it's good for external treatment...0 -
It also needs to be 15+ to be medicinal0
