    Hey Taxi,

I second what Hypno says, but one way or another, I think it will all be good.

Even if you never have a good sob, we all deal with things differently, so don't worry about it. *Hands over tissue, just in case*

Hope your therapy session is really nice. x

A big Thankyou goes to Mrs Robinson....I have just received the books in the post and they are great....I now have lots of recipes to try out...they were beautifully wrapped....I will save the bubble wrap as well as I've read it's good to put on top of seeds trays to help them germinate.

Am off to finish getting ready now as need to go out about 9.30am.

    Catch you all later.

PS...just been out to water the plants and JJs plant has a beautiful yellow flower on...he'll be really pleased about that when he sees it...bless him.

Taxi, hope you enjoy the treatment today - I'm familiar with the healing crisis situation that Hypno posted about, and it may well happen today, but because its the day before your op, it might not either, our bodies know this stuff, and have their own calendar, so to speak. Just let it be what it is, really, is all I'm saying, and I'm sure lots of it will be enjoyable.

    Lots of hugs.

  • Hi All,

Thank you very much for the congratulations - they're all much appreciated!:)

Re. the crying. I haven't yet and we've been doing this for 18 months. Did have a 5 minute cry about 6 weeks in when i thought about the kids one night and what it could mean but it only lasted 5 minutes. I still haven't had any huge outpouring of emotion - maybe it'll come, maybe it won't.

I know of people who fit on the whole spectrum. Some maintained a cheery sort of outlook throughout, others cried buckets throughout. Some get depressed after all the treatment - we are all different. The only thing I would say is, again, go with it! If you're not crying, don't worry about it. If you are, cry til you stop. If you need advice, ask for it. If you've read something and got any niggling worries, tell your nurse/doc/macmillan - get it out of your head is the main thing , whatever it is. They've heard similar before and sometimes it's enough to realise that others have felt the same as you.

Interesting what Hypno says too about the healing crisis. When I had my reiki / reflexology sessions (which I'd never had before) I felt really calm but then when I got up, I did feel more emotional and could feel the tears coming - if she'd said "Are you alright?" instead of "It's still snowing out" who knows what might have happened :D. Seriously, though Hypno's right...

That's lovely about the flower, he'll be thrilled! Hope you have a good day today and will be thinking about you...

  • Hi Taxi - it was my pleasure - am so pleased you liked them!! They will keep you occupied for a bit trying out some of the recipes..... I am overawed by your positive approach - and just want to say that I have two family members who both had BC and have made complete and absolute recoveries, some years ago- so sending massive positive thoughts for you and your family for tomorrow. Will check in next week to see how you are.

And of course thrilled to hear about Lenza -and what a fantastic way to have celebrated the most wonderful news!

Hi everyone...thanks for the well wishes.

The therapist was lovely and I have some new breathing techniques for if I'm stressed and had a wonderful reflexology session....it was quite relaxing.I will be going again in a couple of weeks where the whole session will be treatment..a lot of this one was took up with her going into history etc ...I also talked to her about nutrition and stuff like that organic stuff etc...she gave me a great magazine called ICON(integrative cancer and oncology news) and I've been reading that this evening..it was really interesting and they have a website

https://www.canceractive.com which looks interesting ..I'll be having a look at that next week...

I must go soon as haven't even packed my bag...that's because I don't want to go.

Will try and get on in the morning before I go...if not will catch you in a few days x
