    Heres one on Ebay, fantastic

The weirder thing is he has a -1% feedback, which was from some clown who paid over £40 for what he thought was a rare 20p, and the seller didn't even send THAT!!

    Great stuff, numpties galore. £15

As you can see from the picture, the listed are in very good but circulated condition.

This is for GENUINE 20p coins which have NO DATES on the sides SHOWN IN THE PICTURE

Taken from my own collection but were obviously in circulation for a short while before.

As the picture shows the OBVERSE SIDE IS UNDATED on one coin and the REVERSE SIDE IS UNDATED on the other.

Paypal only please. All sales are final. Please read carefully so that you know what you are buying. To clarify, the two coins are each dated on the other side.Feel free to ask any questions. I will reply asap.

You will receive the ACTUAL COINS shown in the picture. These seem to be very collectable at present and would make a lovely display piece.

THANKS FOR LOOKING PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU BUY THERE ARE NO RETURNS and no refunds THEY ARE ONLY WORTH 20P TO ME

What I don't understand is why anyone would have such a fetish about owning one that they would pay £1000s to get their hands on one. It's value is still only 20p and always will be!

Things are worth EXACTLY what someone is willing to pay for them...not a penny more, and not a penny less.

As long as there is a 'market' for these coins they will be a 'value' greater than the face value. Once no-one wants any, they will be worth 20p.

Welcome to the world of supply and demand.....

But you couldn't go into a car showroom and pay for a £5000 car with one of these 20ps and you couldn't even buy a can of cola in a shop with 2 of them so they aren't worth any more than 20p. What I'm asking is why would someone be willing to pay so much money just to possess a small piece of metal. Is it a form of speculation or a wierd game where people with too much money buy them for huge amounts and sell them for even huger amounts until such point as the value stops rising and whoever has the coin at that point is the loser?

    Dr,

They were a mis-stamp and so their numbers are limited - hence the exclusivity and inflated price.

The story goes that a man has one of only two copies of a very old and valuable stamp [each worth £2million]. He succeeds in buying the second copy [for £2.5million].

    Guess what he then does??
