London mint 20p no date coin 2008 mule

It has been well over a month since the london mint made its promise of paying £50 for any undated 20p that was sent to them and verified genuine.
The cheques should be pouring through many peoples letterboxes right now.
Please post if you have had your cheque or any contact from this company , and especially if your cheque has cleared

I don't really care about the numpties on ebay that paid silly prices for these coins which were freely available in circulation.
Nobody held a gun to their heads and told them too bid higher and higher.
What this is about is if THE LONDON MINT no relation to the royal mint which has been based in wales for many years is honouring it promise.

I would imagine if numpties on ebay were paying higher prices than the London Mint were offering, the majority (if not all) of them were sold off on ebay, unless you were numptie enoughto take a price cut of course ;)

    Wrong very wrong
The london mint had 10, 000 coins sent to them in a week or so - that equates to £500, 000 of coins.
About 100 - 200 sold on ebay in that week many were not paid for as their price was so high.
This company are sitting on probably at least £1,000,000 of these coins .
DOES ANYONE HAVE A CHEQUE YET OR KNOW OF ANYONE WHO HAS RECIEVED ONE!!?????
NO ONE HAS SAID "YES " YET I FIND THIS WORRYING!!!

    THE LONDON MINT THATS WHO
The london mint had a banner put on their website about 7 or eight days after the £50 offer which said "First 10, 000 places filled , another 10,000 places allocated"

London Mint are a private business who managed to get on all the tv shows to talk about the 20p coins. Many people believed the value of the coins was £50 as they said this is what they will pay for them. In reality they are buying thousands of these coins for £50 and selling them on for a much higher amount...

Spot on - I think lots of people assumed they were The Royal Mint without doing any research at all.

To be fair a lot of the media inculding Sky News also thought this company was the Royal Mint and so you can see why the public got misled.
