I'm all for a green board too
I'm going more and more organic and composting and try to use "green products". I think it's partially covered in OS at the moment so maybe it should be near the OS forum? I like the idea, but not sure how it should be executed if you see what I mean

I would look at a green board.I like to live in cloud cuckoo land :hello:0

I would be very interested- but perhaps as a sub forum somewhere (OS maybe?)...? Could you not run the risk of marginalizing 'green' issues so that others did not even notice them? On the other hand, a prominant new green forum could draw others in.0

thanks yet again..
a subboard on o.s would be great..but an entire board of its own would be better..
i think these issues are only going to continue to become more relevant in our lives....Membre Of Teh Misspleing Culb0 -

I'm a little ignorant of what a 'Board' is - whether Green or any other colour!
I dip into all sorts of places on here and get a lot of help from the OS threads (is that what they call a Board?) so if I saw something that appealed to my eco warrior side I would dip in there too.
So you can vote me in as I would know where to look then if I wanted to know about green issues"It is always the best policy to speak the truth-unless, of course, you are an exceptionally good liar." - Jerome K Jerome0 -
We're all going off on a "Green" tangent here, but the original post specified "Ethical Moneysaving" and I think that a board of that kind would actually co-exist nicely with OS, where I'm already a regular.
I know an offshoot of cleaning without chemicals and cooking from scratch is a more ethical way of life, but to my mind, an Ethical Moneysaving could easily include things that don't find a natural home at OS - Green energy, as stated in the OP, rechargable batteries and renewable energy devices, solar heat, light, ethical investments and banks (ha!), the most ethical companies and supermarkets etc, all combined with making the best use of our hard-earned, in the way MSE aims to.
I would use an Ethical Moneysaving board!
(would provide a welcome balance, I think, to the "shop til you drop" board, where consumption is the main vibe!! - no offence, anyone, I've spent time on that board too!)0 -
I would be interested although I think it would fit as an os sub board as many things link in on that theme. The best bargains are priceless!!!!!!!!!! :T :T :T0
