Well this is a bit of a poo weekend so far,
we still don't know about hubby's job so that's hanging over us so we dare not spend any money just in case... he's been just sat watching the TV or randomly falling asleep when he's here barely saying a word.
He seems to swing from we'll be ok to the pit of despair.

I've sent him off to Morrisons to get a bit of shopping, (absolute basics) can't get anything for the fridge though because it's dead
Bought a new one on Thursday but it won't be delivered until Monday.

I suppose on a good note I was on standby for flu duties today but wasn't called in so I get £25 :T
I am working tomorrow at the anti-viral centre which is 7.5 hours at double time. :T:T

I'm trying to get as many extra shifts in as I can at the moment just in case.
    ...Linda xx

    Weller

    I meant to add earlier....

I was still a child when my dad died, older than your 2, but still a child. The one thing I wanted above all else was for my mum to learn to enjoy life again and for us to have fun times. Maybe even find someone new. I prayed every night she would someday have fun again.

It never happened for me. Please dont let your 2 grow up like I did.
Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches

    Bloomin eck Linda!

I hope it all works out for you both, take care. xx

I think at the moment I'm happier with the £56K debt and a secure job ( cos we grow cheap chicken! ) rather than the uncertainty some are facing. Must be carp for both of you.
    :D:D stay wonky :D:D

Good news tho - your fridge will be clean and shiny when it arrives (cleaned mine out a couple of days ago - long forgotten courgettes lurking. They oozed. On my bare fingers.Gag.)

Weller, that sounds like a lovely day out and if your mum says anything like that again come here and we'll make you feel better about it - seemed a normal day at the beach to me:confused:. Glad you and the kids are having some fun, doesn't mean you miss him any less.

Linda :grouphug:, hope DH finds out what goes on sooner rather than later but you are doing the right thing cutting back and taking the overtime when it's available.

I found oozy cucumber hiding in the fridge the other day Lenza so I feel your pain...yeuch!

Well the company is definitely being wound down by the current owner, the lifeline is the potential investor who was in last week and sent his business analyst in on Wednesday.
If he buys the company it should be ok, just waiting for him to look at all the books and make a decision....
....hopefully before he flies off to Australia for a month (in 3 weeks time:eek:)

I just hope we have an answer before he goes.

And I can beat the courgette thing.... cold cat food splatting out onto bare feet and all squidging between my toes.

I was going camping bank holiday weekend with friends in Wales which I've cancelled.
Mother in Law is having a bbq party next Saturday so not too bad, at least we'll get out next weekend.
Her parties are usually really fun (and free!) :T

My god woman, do you have elephant feet?

You must have stamped rather than stepped.
