I really do want to point out I'm not some kind of drug addict here however much it probably seems that I am! I only take stuff when I need it but like to have a 'store' in of powerful stuff because I know that I can get quite bad very fast.

only kidding, I know very well how pain can creep up and floor you within no time at all. You should see my medicine cabinet... It reads like Amy Winehouse's christmas list :rotfl:

In the spirit of all things MSE I've just managed to talk myself out of a brand new sofa, a brand new freezer and a brand new coat.

I have however found out how to put new springs into the sofa and am going to order springs and clips to do it myself.....Have found plenty of freezers on ebay that will do the job nicely for less than 1/3 of a new one so just watching for one locally and found the sort of coat I wanted on ebay for 99p (tried one on this morning that was £50) :T

But I have to draw the line somewhere and I'm off to the shop for choccy

now, I thought I was pretty OS batch cooking, leftovers etc but this has to be the ultimate OS activity ......not only knitting your own dish cloths........but choosing a pattern to knit..........:rotfl:

Opiate addiction doesn't happen as often as people would like, for people who take them because they have to.

Paramol is much more effective than generic codeine, but it is 3 times the price. But if you need the power, you need the power. I don't, so just get away with codeine.

I seem to be somewhat unaffected by codeine - apart from pain relief. One woman where I worked took one tablet, and floated around the office for the rest of the day... :eek:

I find after about 10 minutes, I get this lovely uplifing 'whoosh' - and the pain lifts and I'm then fine.

talking of being OS, I can collect the remaining plums from my ex's trees this afternoon......not many left but I'm not leaving free food hanging there!
