I used to post there, bear that I am. Some bright folk there. Does anyone remember TTRTR, always winding others up?

I recall Dopestar linking a thread to someone called 'Serpico', a partially blind man in his 80's (so he didn't write much) but he wrote about his motorcycle business and recessions/downturns from years ago. Fascinating posts..I confess to printing them off to read at my leisure.

I read a thread today about SME's and the downturn and it had a refreshing honesty to it that isn't always on this board.
By that I mean, if someone posts they are having a hard time of it businesswise, auto means they run a cra9 business..which isn't always the case.

Another was about how much do you need to earn in SE to have a trad middle class lifestyle. Anyway, don't want to detract from this board at all...cos it's good for advice/info too, perhaps I was just thinking aloud when I started the thread?
Or perhaps I have drunk too much cava (MSE sub for Champagne)?

Cos I am having a solo mini celebration tonight.

Innapropriate sexual innuendo seems to do it quite quickly.

I did wonder yesterday, before I did my rather tame sock puppet thread, of starting a Large Penis thread, in honour of Mr. B. Wasn't sure the mods would see it as a joke though.

I'm not very big on sexual innuendo.

I used to find sexual innuendo funny until you started shoving it down my throat.

Some of us pretend to have a zillion quid and live on groats when we are actually, risking our all on new eneterprises etc.
Well they reckon if you can make it work now it should do great guns the other side of recession (should fly) I think the words were.
I came in to this world with nothing and I've still got most of it left.

Is it time for "I opened the window and innuendo"?

    No I thought not.

Oddly, we have always had a hard time when everyone else is booming. I recall 2001-2003 as being a bit of a nightmare for us. Also 1987.

OK, now I have hindsight and I understand a lot of it was due to all the 'funny money' starting to slosh into the 'foodchain' STS.
