OH had a weird dream, we were at Thorpe Park and we sat on a bench and this guy came up to me and started massaging my shoulders and stroking my cheek. So OH beat him up.
I told him to stop beatin this guy up as he was causing a scene.
Then i turned into a cat and dissapeared through a wall to see the guy that was massaging me lol.

    Hey Jillie!

Really glad you are ok. Sounds like they looked after you really well. It also sounds a bit similar to what happened to me last Monday, although I was nowhere near as bad. Was the pain in your chest/stomach whatever continual? I couldn't get through to the hospital so took decision to go in myself, and had to stop en route to be violently sick at the side of the road. I was only sick once though and the pain eased off after it, but it was agony whilst it lasted as I couldn't do anything to relieve it and it was constant. I found I could hardly breathe, partly with the pain, and partly with panicking probably. They said they didn't know what had caused it.

I was getting really worried about being able to cope with labour as I found the pain so bad and it was upsetting me when I was thinking about that, but DH kept reminding me that contractions aren't constant and you do get a break in between them, plus there is the option of pain relief, and I suppose that's true. So try not to worry too much as I think he is right. There will be some relief (although not saying it's going to be easy!).

    Glad you are ok now.

Afternoon all. I gave in and gave the hospital a call to find out what was happening. I am so angry now. They only got the referral letter from my doctor yesterday so they say it will be 2 weeks before i get a letter and the appointment could be another week or even 2 after that. So much for the urgent scan my doctor said he wanted me to get.

I am now left with the possibility of a full month not knowing if things are ok, of not even knowing how far along i am, how can this be right. No one seems to care that i don't feel right this time.

Hi 32B. If the delay is going to be that long, and you genuinely feel something isn't quite right, would a private dating scan be out of the question? Not sure where abouts you live, but I think they cost less than £100 in some parts of the country and you can get them on a few days notice, and at least you would know when baby is due and get some reassurance that all is OK.

Jillie that sounds awful but really good you were so well looked after. Hopefully the next few weeks will pass without any more problems :)

With regards to reflux / heartburn / other pain and not thinking you'd be able to manage with labour pain, I've never experienced either like you Jillie or Fitzio, but I would also guess (and please someone correct me if I'm wrong!) that in labour you know what the pain is and you know at the end you will have your baby in your arms - unlike the abdominal pain where you also have the worry that it's there becasue somehting is wrong and there's no positive outcome to the pain.

    Hope that makes sense!!

You're exactly right Sarah, labour is not normal pain that you would reach a threshold for IYKWIM? Its a natural pain that your body can deal with rather than an unknown pain. Your body really does take over, not like an injury where the pain comes from your body being under attack. Don't know if that makes sense??
