Am now thinking that it probably started last week - hence the few days of contractions and the huge thirst as the body struggled to keep producing enough amniotic fluid...
No news from MW yet...

Ooh still no Fitz? Fingers crossed we have a baby making an appearance then!
Saw Jillie's news on FB. I'm assuming JAM has also gone in to be induced as she's disappeared....
I'm so excited- my best friend phoned me up today to tell me she's getting married in June. She and her OH have been together the same length of time as me and mine (9 1/2 years ) so it's a long time coming. They weren't even engaged. If that won't be motivation to lose the baby weight then I don't know what will!
32B- please come on and let us know how the scan went.
Off to cook OH and I a lovely curry tonight with all the trimmings. I hope you all like my nightly tea updates- I like to let people know what we're having :rotfl:.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -

ChasingButterflies wrote: »Hey everyone,
I can see your predicament... we had to [STRIKE]kick[/STRIKE] move dd1 out of her cot a few weeks before ds1 arrived - I didn't buy a new mattress for him (bad mother?!) tbh I think we did debate it and felt that the matress hadn't been stored anywhere had been used for 18 months (but was for a cotbed - so the expected life was 3/4 years...) and we were skint since we had bought a bigger house so he had somewhere to sleep! When I sold dd2's cot I gave the mattress to the lady that had picked it up - I don't know if she used it (but I know the matress cost more than the cot!) again though it hadn't been stored anywhere dd2 was ready to move onto a bed (for her 2nd birthday) - I wouldn't have given it to her had I not been willing to use it iyswim?

I read that second hand matresses were doable if it was from a sibling anyway so I wouldn't worry in this case. I have got a cotbed and a new matress for it but also bought a matress cover from TKMaxx (about £8) for the matress so it should prolong it's lifetime for possible future babies......it is hypoallergenic, washable as is a cover on the actual matress.0
