Ha ha, we are all thinking the same thing...
I just ordered 2 pairs of PJs and a cheap nightshirt and a shawl for baby from BHS - £40. Maybe not quite as cheap as Asda, but the nightshirt was £5 so thinking that will do me for labour. PJs were £11 each, and shawl was dearer at £12 as it wasn't in sale, but stuff it - it saves me ordering it elsewhere and I can tick it off the list.0 -

Surely if she wasn't sure, she wouldn't have guessed? Now I'm worried that we'll tell everyone a girl and it'll be wrong. Arghh!!
Mine said the same, and i thought the exact same thing, surely they had a good indication or they wouldn't bother to say anything at all?? In my case she'd already explained it had legs crossed and i accepted that, but she said she'd moved it a bit and it looked like a girl!!
Anyway i had another scan as i'd not drank enough 1st time, and it's almost certainly a girl. Shame you couldn't have been naughty like me and needed a 2nd scan
They always say "could be wrong" just to cover themselves0 -
night shirts were 2 pack for £5
joggers - £3 each
t-shirts - £2-£3
just for slobbing round the house. figured I'll wear my existing pj's in hospital so won't mind if they get messy!A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Great shopping Glam! And great sales Helen!
Might have a look at Asda website later. I think I just looked at the sale stuff and didn't see anything, but even their full price stuff is probably cheapish. Off to make packed lunch for tomorrow whilst DH goes and gets us a McDs (thanks to Boo!). Then going to relax and watch a film tonight.
How does it feel knowing you have no work tomorrow Glam?! It's my last week!!!0 -

Well i didn't get the nappies surprise surprise. but at least she was nice enough to send a message and not just rely on interested parties searching the taken posts. Arrrgggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh - too many avvys with 4D pics now!!!!
I will get sooooooooooooooooooo confused! I always struggle with you and GISI because your dates are so close and you joined at the same tim!!
I don't have a 4D scan avvy though! Mine is definitely me, not baby!I know - OH is convinced it's not a moses basket but it has all the parts with it like handles, hood and bumper.
I think it's had things stored in it and it's stretched it out width ways. WIll see if I can squash it back in but I know i can get the mattress made to measure but will just have to pay a little more.
Right, house starting to look a bit like a house instead of a landfill!
OH should be home in a bit and still no word from BIL
No news from suzy or dawn - was it today or Monday that Suzy had to go in? I would say that as we've not heard yet she's probably gone into labour on her own she was very good at keep us updated!
How much would it cost to get one made to measure though? Don't forget you can get a new basket including mattress for about £30.fattybooboo wrote: »Sorry I went AWOL then, DH had laptop for a bit whilst I had a bath and cut and painted my toenails, that was an effort!! Then smaller dog stood on them and scuffed it, lol!! I'm off to search now for a list of what I will need for baby and see how I am getting on, guess if I search baby list this will be a start? xx
I did my toe nails last night and people keep commenting on them today asking how I still manage to do them. I'm not that flippin' big, thank you very much!
Well, I am so blooming stupid and stubborn that I couldn't not take part in a charity walk this morning that I had organised and now I am so sore. I did 5km (3 miles) and what a bloody stupid thing to do. My back and hips are now agony, and I think I have moved my SPD from the mild beginnings of it to properly hurting. I am also a bit sunburnt which is making me feel horribly puffy and hot. It was a work thing, and I think they are going to be mightily unimpressed if I call in sick tomorrow because of it. Grrr, I should have just sat and watched!:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -

Hey guys! Still no news on Suzy, I was hoping for a birth announcement.
Just to add to the pad debate - I went through 2 packs of the thicker pads from boots and 3 packs of the slim-line ones. I have only just changed to normal towels, as my MW told me to stick to maternity pads as they don't have a waxy coating like normal towelsand would be more comfortable on my stitches. I would recommend the thicker pads for the first few days, a bit more cushioning, but found the slim-line ones were great when I wanted to feel a bit more normal IYSWIM. (by the way, I've only just stopped bleeding - Liam will be 3 weeks old tomorrow - Oh, and nobody warned me about the clots )
ETA: Glam - hope you enjoy your ML. Make the most of it, I didn't have time to relax and was thrown in right at the deep end
