fitzio - get it order online now! Capsules are supposed to be better (says lady in my health shop) but I'm enjoying the tea at the moment.
If you order it online and get it delivered you don't need to worry about going out to get it.

we were supposed to have started on perineum massage but not done yet!

Found an old nightie which fits and is comfy so think I'll use that for labour. Now - do I need a spare nightie?!

Me too Fizio, usually end up forgetting but I am determined to try everything I can to 1. bring labour on and 2. help make an easier labour!
So what do we need to buy...

RLT capsules (I can't drink tea!)
    Calcium tablets
    EPO tablets
    Lactulose
    Arnica tablets/cream
Clary sage oil (heard it can work at bringing labour on)

My god,I'll be taking so many pills I'll be rattling when I walk!! :rotfl:Have I missed anything? Best get down to Holland & Barrett!
love my little man he is amazing :j

I can easily stop off at H&B on my way home from work tomorrow. Have been meaning to do it for ages. But my feet are so swollen after a day at work that all I can think of is to get home as quickly as possible and lie down. The swelling is really depressing - it's made me so lazy as I just want to lie down and give it a chance to go away.

Bloody hell - another clash of bodies on the pitch - they are dropping like flies today!

Not sure why I am even thinking about other tablets. I can't even remember to take my iron tablets! No doubt when I see the midwife next Monday, she will tell me that my iron count is still low. That's because I am taking about 1 pill every couple of days instead of 3 per day!!!

I am 35 weeks today by the way!! Not long to go.
  • Hi all. Just been catching up. Well we went and picked up the M&P playmat this morning, its great so well pleased with that. One of our dogs was most amused by the rattle part in it, i reckon we are gonna have a job to keep them off it!!

Afterwards we went to Tesco in Poole to spend some of our double up vouchers. As a lot of the clothes we got so far are for 0-3 month, we concentrated on getting some newborn bits this time, mainly to take into hospital I think, so we got:
    • 3 x plain white sleepsuits (newborn)
    • 4 x boy sleepsuits (newborn)
    • 1 x white cardigan (newborn)
    • 2 x white hats
    • 2 x white scratch mittens
    • 2 x packs of 5 disposable maternity briefs (Im a size 16 on my bottom half but picked up 18/20 without realising, do you think these will be ok?)
    • 2 x packs of 10 maternity pads
    • Muslin squares
    • 3 lots of cotton wool balls as on offer
Reading the boxes of the briefs and pads, I think I need to use the pads with the briefs, is that right? And on the pads it says you need 2 packs for 2 days after the birth, so I will be going through 10 pads a day  is that also right?!?! Also, is 10 briefs and 20 pads enough? Gawd its a nightmare knowing where to draw the line!!

Sorry for so many questions!! Hope you are all having a nice lazy sunday xx

PS Forgot to mention we had a KFC in Poole, whoops but it was lovely :D

So what do we need to buy...

RLT capsules (I can't drink tea!) Look around for prices - my cheapest was local health shop
Calcium tablets I got a huge tub from H&B - like 25 tabs for £4
EPO tablets Cheapest in Tesco or ASDA, normally 2 lots for £4
Lactulose get it on prescription from GP - FREE :money:
Arnica tablets/cream I found ebay cheapest - I would get 30c so you unse afterwards as 200c only suitable for actual labour
Clary sage oil (heard it can work at bringing labour on) runs off to look up this one!

My god,I'll be taking so many pills I'll be rattling when I walk!! :rotfl:Have I missed anything? Best get down to Holland & Barrett!

I think I probably rattle now! I try to take them trhoughout the day after each meal - so 3 calcium and 2 fish oils at lunchtime, then multivit and EPO after tea.

Gosh, I think I only have 5 pairs of maternity briefs and 2 packets of pads. Think I may need more pads. I have plenty of old knickers that I could use and chuck away though so hoping they will do. Or maybe I should buy more disposable!

I think a bigger size would be ok, more comfortable, as long as they aren't too loose that they won't hold your pads in place and you start leaking badly! Make sure you don't have white trousers on just in case.
