I dont know if nay of you have remember me mentioning my friend Niki she is a midwife and was planning to come to my home birth to be a birthing partner with my OH. She has been involved in a very nasty accident and is currently in intensive care thank fully she is not in a life threatening condition but she will be there for some months to come as she has broken both her legs seperated her small intestine from the large intestine and ripped her muscles away from her hips. She is a very lucky woman an old couple managed to pull her out of the car seconds before it was engulfed in flames. We are heading to rugby today to see her and let her know we are there for her. My other half has known her since school so he was obviously very upset. She is a tough cookie though so hopefully her recovery will be as speedy as can be :-(

I remember you talking about her the other day letting you down. How awful. I'll say a prayer for her.

Thank you bear i just hope she recovers to be the same old niki she was always so bubbly and the life and soul so i hope this hasnt knocked any of it out of her.

Ive started to think about getting weaning equipment and stuff hadnt really thought about potty training but if you can get the items cheap at the time you may as well i suppose :-) x

Yes, and family who have kids and not going to have anymore always see you as a target for getting rid of their baby/toddler stuff, too. Currently have a load of soft toys going round in the machine!

I'm sure your friend just needs time but try not to worry. Easier said than done, and don't feel guilty about being annoyed with her.

Lol bear i have about 5 bags of teddies in the loft if you want some more ;-)
Can you believe i actually went to build a bear with the kids yesterday so they could make a new bear for the baby what was i thinking!!! but it is something special from them to him :-)

I haven't heard back about the chair so I'm not sure yet! Still got my fingers crossed.

That's a nice idea - makes the other kids feel part of welcoming the new one.

Think I'm gonna put my feet up and get on with some stitiching.

I'll check in with what I've missed when the football starts, as I won't get any decent conversation with the OH then!

congratulations to glam and workingmum, good to hear you's are both doing well and babies too. How you managed to post and catch up is a mystery glam lol

Had a busy few days with sis we still can't get any help even after having to call the police last night because of her erratic behavior she was returned to my mums with no help. Very nice male officer though that tried to get her to speak and not scream etc but not sure it worked all that well. She is not talking to me now and say's i'm not welcome anymore but i won't let that get to me i know it's not my sis saying it.

I seem to have passed the most of the sicky parts of early pg or maybe my body just understood i did not have the time lol

I think i know what you are talking about they are water purification straws that you can buy for survival etc. you can get a bottle one too. Best place to get them is very good out door shops or online survival and army navy surplus. They straws would be good for in your bag if you ever need a drink but cant get bottled water.

just had a laugh with DS, got some fliers through about the boots special offers that they have and he was looking through them. He then leans over and ask's what on earth are you ment to do to baby with that. Erm honey it's a breast pump that mummy's use to remove the milk for baby. Took about 3 sec for him to put it together then spent 5min rolling on the couch in disgust and embarrassment when he realized that mum done that too lol lol
