Sarah_Joanne wrote: »How's the packing going EA? Hope you are taking it easy
Yeah its going good. Did most of it yesterday. I kept having to rest as i was getting really light headed and feeling faint. So we had a McDonalds. (M Burger is lovely) it didn't help the faintness, but it was nice hehe.
And came back to packing, then OH's parents had us round for dinner.
But we only have our clothes and some various small bits to pack now.
We're chucking most of our food as we dont eat it and i dont want to pack it.
Also the freezer has broke so all the freezer food is defrosted. And no chance im risking eating it.
But OH lifted all the boxes and we made a small plan of my job on the moving day, im basically the person who tells everyone what to do and where to put thingAnd i make lunch to
My sister is taking my place as box lifter
How are you today? x0 -
That's good, you can be Chief Organiser!!
I'm good thanks. Really glad it's the weekend, and then I only have 2 more days in work before the wedding! Just trying to plan now when I can do all my baking - have 180 cupcakes to bake and decorate for my wedding plus someone else's
I knew it'd be hard work taking an order for a wedding the same day as my own, but I've got 3 days off work, and the extra money has been really handy so can't complain too much!
Still feeling tired a lot, but then i'm not sleeping great so that doesn't help. Saying that I don't feel as totally drained as I did in the first few weeks, thank god, I'd never get anything done!0 -
Hi,
Back from the wedding and looks like I missed out on loads this afternoon.
I can't believe that Glam:
a, you have time to post on here
b, you've written your birth story
c, you fed for nearly 2 1/2 hours last night - really didn't think it could take that long
d, he then slept for nearly 7 hours.
Sounds like you have a very happy and contented baby. I'm def off to pack more sleepsuits etc tomorrow. I've also done a separate bag for me and bubs that I'm leaving in the nursery in case I end up staying in longer than planned and OH can just come home, pick them up and head back to the hospital. God it all seems so real now, starting to get scared!

Today, as well as feeling like I've been kicked in the foof by a mule, I also feel like a great big ball of TMI's!! Everything intimate is sore or stings and itches even inside my nose and ears for some reason! The iron tablets feel like they've wrecked my bowels, nipped out to the chemist and every speedbump on the way was agony!
Hey Fidget, I hope you are ok, I think itching can be a sign of pre-eclampsia so don't know if you should get it checked out. My hospital said I was slightly low on iron but my GP made me have another blood test before he would prescribe anything and the second blood test said my iron levels were fine  Quite glad I didn't have to take extra iron now.
Somnium we might have to figure out a way of recognising each other because I felt really silly on Thursday looking for Always but not knowing what she looked like. The teacher did go round the new people and asked us our names but not the people who had been there before, and anyway - I don't know your real name!
Off to bed now, got OH's brother's wedding tomorrow and his mum is staying here tonight so I'm on best behaviour.Mum to DD born Oct 2009

Hiya jenny
Glad the aquanatal went well for you I wish I wasn't too much of a wuss to go. Probably not wise with all the niggly probs I've been having lately (eg reoccuring thrush etc).
Excessive itching can be a symptom of cholatosis ( or whatever the word is I can't spell!) the liver problem. This isn't really like that it's more to do with the thrush and it's like having chapped skin everywhere. Think i may have got a bit sensitive to toiletries and whatnot. Felt much better after a long soak without using any and then I used some aloe vera gel I got from Hol&Barr.
Was weird my belly button suddenly popped out before with baby kicking and it's just kind of stayed like that!
I also can't believe how well glam is taking it all in her stride! I hope you other sept ladies fair similarly. I was a mess after I'd had dd so am going to think positive thoughts and hope that gets me through!
Breastfeeding in the early days can go on and on for hours but I think it gets better as baby gets more efficient at feeding and your supply becomes more established. I remember being stuck to the couch for 4 hours at one point with dd.
Hope this isn't too rambley but am typing on my phone in the dark so this prob one big paragraph!!0 -

Really sorry to hear you are having so many problems, I've been so lucky with no real issues (apart from the no sex due to cervical erosion but I've got mostly used to that now!). Don't let thrush put you off swimming, I get it all the time too but it doesn't seem a problem. I have to eat a probiotic yoghurt every day to help keep things under control. Then again the chlorine might not be good your for skin, it dried mine out a bit so just ignore me!

SJ did you get the chair? Sounds like you've a lot on this week, good luck with all that baking!! The hotel in Egypt looks sooo nice, v jealous especially after this weeks weather!
Not much going on here, went to the gym yesterday aft after weeks of being too tired so pleased with myself after that. Then went to a friends to watch the Big Bro final, such dross but I can't help but watch it!!! Today's not gonna be exciting but tomorrow I'm off to sell all my junk @ a carboot then we're going to look at nursery furnitureWahoo, can't wait! Also going to have a nose around the Volvo garage, I bought an Aygo a few weeks before the BFP, a touch impractical now so even though we prob can't afford it we're gonna have a look and see what we can get (really, I think this is just to pacify the other half, I get to look at nursery furniture, he gets to look at cars!!) xxxxxxxx

Glam you are a natural mummy glad its all going so wel for you :-)
EA ther is always something to throw a spanner in the works hope it all gets sorted soon :-)
Well i had a good day yesterday mostly until late evening we went out and i got me some gorgeous little rubber ducks that glow in water and change colour for my birth pool they are so cute. came home stuffed my face and had a rest. We got to about 10pm and i checked facebook on my phone to find a very upsetting message had been left for me. I dont know if nay of you have remember me mentioning my friend Niki she is a midwife and was planning to come to my home birth to be a birthing partner with my OH. She has been involved in a very nasty accident and is currently in intensive care thank fully she is not in a life threatening condition but she will be there for some months to come as she has broken both her legs seperated her small intestine from the large intestine and ripped her muscles away from her hips. She is a very lucky woman an old couple managed to pull her out of the car seconds before it was engulfed in flames. We are heading to rugby today to see her and let her know we are there for her. My other half has known her since school so he was obviously very upset. She is a tough cookie though so hopefully her recovery will be as speedy as can be :-(:jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0 -
Morning ladies,
Had quite a productive one so far. On my second load of laundry of the day. OH has cleared out shed and tidied and sorted out under the stairs - will wonders never cease!
I've put up some stuff on freecycle and I'm just waiting for pest control man to come back. Can see wasps going in from the outside but OH says there aren't any in loft and no new nest so I'm flumaxed (sp?).
I think I may have been a bit too practical and already bought a couple of sets of reins, toilet training seat etc and I wondered if anyone else had got extra stuff stocked up already and what you are doing with it? Don't really want a box of stuff moving from room to room.
Have a good day, ladies.
