  • After my blissful few days of chilling, down to earth with a bump (god, don't even get me started on the flight home last night!) to an email from my boss that says, after after two !!!!-ups that hands up I admit to (one big, one not so big in my book) and some general miscommunications about things I haven't done and that I make "so many mistakes" "he will not allow it to continue" referring to my post and we are having a "documented" review meeting on Friday - to me all this = fired. Usually I am fairly clued up on these things but can't think straight right now - I am on a three month notice but I am due to start maternity leave in 7 weeks. I don't get much more than SMP (instead of 90% for 6 weeks and then SMP for 33, I should get 100% for 8 weeks then 31 weeks at SMP) but if they fire me on Friday, I am sure I would have to get the 3 months notice pay AND then SMP too? TBH, I am 99.9% decided that I won't come back here after ML for a number of reasons so not working here doesn't bother me but when I need a reference for future work I'd rather not be fired (well, who would!!!) and hand my notice in 3 months from the end of my ML instead.

    Aw big hugs!!!!

I don't know if you can get 3 months notice and SMP as your ML is due to start in 7 weeks. You would just get 3 months notice which would fall over your SMP period.

Do u feel that they might be using these things as an excuse because you are going off on ML?
I don't think they would fire you because it is very difficult to fire when they are pg. They will have a disciplanry procedure and as long as you've not done anything before and what you have done doesn't count as Gross Misconduct the worst they can do is give you a verbal or written warning.

    Afternoon :)

We went to view the place this morning. And i love it! :j
So we went back to leaders and put a holding fee down.

We managed to get £100 knocked off our admin fee cause of where we work and managed to get the £150 pet fee knocked off by some very clever wording between the agent and the landlord :D

The room that is to be the nursery has loads of storage space for baby items which is good.

Have to fill in some forms now and take them back :D

I honestly don't know - I know my attention span / concentration has gone to pot since I have been pregnant but that's more because of the early worrying with the ectopic scare and then the high combined test risk results and thinking about baby things and selling the flat but I don't want to use pregnancy as an "excuse". Before I found out I was pregnant, I had been looking for a new job so I think it's more me than anything else. I've not had any other warnings or anything and I hadn't thought of that so maybe I am worrying too much.

Really should be more sociable and get out my little bubble and read up whats been going on with you lot the last few days shouldn't I?!
