I predicted the other day, on another thread, that we will be getting tax cuts next.

Keep People Spending = people keep their jobs = stronger economy

Folk have already saved hundreds each month from their mortgage (other folk no longer fear coming off fixed rates) and now, possibly extra money in the pay packet - it's gonna be a good xmas after all.

to be fair, you do say possibly.

anyways, will everyone stop all this b!tching, and answer my questions on the first page please? its like listening to my little sister and her mates.....:D

eta: best me to it brock sock....

    Not 'looks' rather 'it's gonna'

    Who's the 'fool' now?

:rotfl:well done for exposing my lie.

I predcited a tax cut, and we got one - 2.5% on VAT designed to keep people spending.

And yes, it was a good xmas, so I was right on that one too.

I think Dan meant it in an ironic way. Humor, as from the Latin for Hummer, the US gas guzzler that arguably was the symbol of the recession.

Not so fast...you added 'possibly' after you posted! Check out !!!!!!'s quote...no possibly.

No that wasn't the tax cut you proposed and no it wasn't a good Xmas either. A lot of people lost their jobs, a lot of companies ripped off with the worthless VAT change over.

The tone of your prediction and the reality of what happened tells me that your prediction was a flop!

You've been caught out...and I'll keep at it until you stop doing it to others. Everyone is entitled to predict what they want, however, they don't deserved to be mocked by you!

All predictions are only a possibility, I guaranteed nothing like some do.

We got the tax cut in VAT, the idea being to keep people spending.

I agree it was not a good xmas for all those that were put out of work, unfortunately this continued through 2009 and am pretty much sure it will during 2010. Recessions aren't nice for anyone, which is why it amazes me that some folk relish it - just for a cheap house!
