Remember - it's just a bleeping number. It has implications admittedly but if it means you take a look at your health/well-being if you can, then all good.

    Female, 34, bmi 17....

As was said earlier, I dont believe this 'bmi' thing at all. It doesnt take into account body shape, or lifestyle. 17 is 'underweight' on that scale apparently, but if you look at me, then I by no means look underweight at all.
You lied to me Edward. There IS a Swansea. And other places.....

There is a lot of bad science associated with BMI.
It is just your weight divided by your height squared and is intended as a very rough indicator.

  • Mine is 22.4. It used to be huge but not these days; I'm thinking of bulking out with a bit of muscle nest year so the BMI figure will increase yet I will still be healthy.

    Oh no!!
Pesky (that is my code for ****ing) weather..........!!!!

I have heard nothing bad (although some scepticism) about the vibration training machines but maybe I have my rose-tinted specs on. I have to pop out (promised bike ride and horse-check) but will elaborate more later.

    Female, 24, BMI = 31.5

I have to agree with others on here... I don't tend to go by the numbers.
To be fair i know i'm overweight (i prefer that word to obese)

Exactly my thoughts, I'm the same. I know I need to lose weight but I don't bother about the numbers involved too much as it can get you down more and just make it worse.

The calculator might say I have a BMI of 31.5 and that I am 'obese', but I don't feel it. I am quite tall so although I know I am not slim, I feel slimmer than the numbers suggest.
