the number of threads about posters giving up on waiting buying for a house on HPC.co.uk is hilarious!!! :T

i think that they've decided to close that site down now.

Sounds like they are sensible to me, I wouldnt buy in todays conditions, and I certainly wouldnt want to have a buy to let mortgage or low or no equity in my property, because unfortunately, the unlucky people in that group are in for a real shock in the next year or so:exclamati

when i see crap houses going up in price is the day i will start to worry untul then i will wait and let the economic turmoil do its work, as it will.
It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.

What does "bear acting innocent under a different user ID mean?" :)

If you were never a member of this site you can never find out this forum existed. I think someone may be playing a bit to innocent here.

Or I may have looked on google news, followed the link to here, found there was a comment area under it, tried to view it, realised you needed to sign up, became a member!!!

Its worth pointing out all the properties sitting around unsold on Rightmove, quietly getting £5k or so knocked off them every other month dont factor into the Nationwide index. (Remember RM recroded a 2% asking price fall last month)

The fact is money is currently relatively cheap if you are one of the few who can get a loan. More expensive houses are cheaper now and people are reaching for them.

Don't worry, every newbie gets this sort of treatment. They assume that this is a closed shop or club that does not allow new members, and so any newbies have to be existing members using new usernames.

Paranoia in the extreme and very off putting to new members. The best thing you can do is to play along and hope they get bored of it. Start quoting an old forum member's messages, that's usually good for a laugh. :)
