    they wouldn't, when and how would a student put a deposit together - that doesn't make any sense and is probably impossible without being given the money.

    Have you ever been to university? :rotfl: When a student leaves they are in considerable debt that takes years to pay off let alone begin saving for a deposit, and all on a salary that is barely better than average (and that's the lucky ones!!)

    yep - i did. but not overly important for this thread.

    so we agree that a student won't be able to buy property for quite a while then...

    they can always move in with 'ma' to save money and pay off existing debts can't they :rolleyes:
