They have finished the monthly offers - now only do, very poor, weekly ones
Offers in my local Aldi have been great - perhaps there is a difference in what is offered or the quality in different areas, or perhaps my perception or tastes are different?
This week I bought potatoes, onions, caulis, cabbage, broccoli and satsumas/mandarins for less than half what they would have cost me in the main supermarkets. All are good quality and judging from previous purchases they will deteriorate no quicker than veg from elsewhere, I can't comment on how long the fruit lasts as my kids demolish it so fast!
The potatoes are great, a real mix of sizes in the bags I picked, so some are ideal for baking. Cauli and broccoli are being cooked today in cheese sauce and half will be frozen and half eaten tomorrow with gammon, some will also be frozen uncooked ready for future use.
We eat a huge amount of fruit and veg and thanks to the Aldi and Lidl offers we do not spend excessively on them. It does mean however that menus are occasionally changed, and I do have plenty of freezer space so that we can vary our veg from week to week and aren't reliant soley on their selection.
btw my local Aldi had a huge display of fusilli pasta by the front door, 2kg for 99p - bargain!GC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000 -
has anybody been in and seen what the offers are this week? It's not on their website yet and, as Aldi is a few miles away from me, I don't want to make a special trip if the offers aren't that great

Thanks!0 -
