Sorry don't know about the spuds but yesterday bought swedes at 29p each, chopped up 3, blanched them and put them in freezer along with leeks and parsnips all from Aldi. What a good do!!!0

Welcome to the forums mrstommo.
Would you like to share your blanching tips??

I too bought the spuds, havn't tried them yet as I had some left to use up but will have a go with them this week.I looked at them, and there were some decent sized ones that could be used for 'jackets'.I also bought some bananas, pears, cucumber, tomatoes and an iceberg lettuce that was only 45p, half the price of elsewhere.I am really pleased with the quality of their F&V and so far havn't had anything that wasn't good enough to eat.But then again I shop with my eyes and if I found something I didn't think value for money I am the sort of grumpy old gal who would take it back and kick up a fuss. Money is in short enough supply so I make sure I get value for my cash or else;) I think shop managers must blanche when they see me coming0

Warms the cockles of my heart to hear that. Even on here I'm surprised to read posts where people say something was only £xx so they can't be bothered to go back. As a dear old friend of mine used to say, 'I look at my money twice!'AUGUST GROCERY CHALLENGE £115.93/ £250

They only had cabbage or fruit (in ours it was a choice of clementines or satsumas) at my local store but yes the brocolli heads are HUGE !0

when will these offers finish? (for the broccoli, cabbage, etc..) my local aldi is a 20 minute drive away so I only go when the offers are good on things i like and i would certainly be buying broccoli, cabbage, cauli and potatoes at that price!0

they're usually on for a week (i.e. Sunday to Saturday) although Aldi are being a bit haphazard with this Super 6 offerings just lately.
For most of this year the Super 6 offer has run for a month but then a couple of weeks ago they suddenly changed it to being weekly offers, and not all offers are always available at every store. Very hit and miss!0
