I went to Aldi this week and got the maris piper potatoes, leeks, sweetcorn and oranges. The salad potatoes and red grapes were on offer at 49p and 79p, but I didnt see any of the other things listed.

It all seems a bit of a mish-mash, but it's cheap fruit and veg so I am happy with whatever they offer!
  • I was there today, and it's the carrots, peaches, etc.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Just knocked up my last batch of leek and potato soup and made some oven chips ready to freeze with the rest of the maris pipers - been busy cooking today (lol).
Not as exciting for me this weeks offers, try Lidl.

hmmm Aldi website has updated for this week.

    6 Pack Pears -79p
    500g Red grapes - 79p
    Peaches - 69p
    Cauliflower - 49p
    Salad Potatoes (1kg) - 49p
    Carrots (1kg) - 39p

Anyone that has been to Aldi this week who can say if these are instead of the sweetcorn etc.

:eek:I nearly bought my carrots from Morrisons at 50p kg that was close. I really think I have too much time on my hands:rotfl:
  • it seems like the monthly deals aren't lasting the month now :(

I went in today and none of the oranges, kiwi, apples, potatoes, leeks or sweetcorn as mentioned in the original post were on offer.

It seems they have gone over to weekly offers which isn't as good IMO, I preferred knowing I could buy the offers each week for a month.

I was in there yesterday and i didn't look too much at all the stuff but i bought some carrots for 39p. They are the chantenay (sp?) ones.

Also - i bought pears in Morrisons yesterday, they're on "better than half price" at 75p for 6. Apples are on offer too but can't remember price!

I agree. My local Aldi yesterday only had the Chantenay carrots, the grapes and the cauliflower in stock (which incidentally was the smallest cauli I've seen for a long time!) No sign of any of the others or indeed any space where they might have been.

    Poor show, Aldi :naughty:
  • Yup - also gone to the weekly offers which is a real pity and to be honest I can't see myself going to Aldi much anymore.
  • Have to agree with you Smidster. I have "shared" my shopping half-and-half between Aldi and Sainsbury's over the last few years. But recently my Aldi list has been getting smaller and my Sainsbury's list getting bigger. I am now thinking of "sacking" the pair of them and trying the new Asda which has recently opened and see how it compares in value and time spent shopping!
