Thanks, looks like leek and potato soup.

Making now as we speak for lunch.
3 lovely leeks for 49p - wish this was on every week.
The sweetcorn looked a good offer as well - 3 nice sweetcorn for 49p.

This is the recipe I use more or less, the masher tip works well.

I made a huge pan as soon as I got back with my potato/leek haul from Aldi. My method is similar to that one, but I add a bit of nutmeg as well. Yum. Giant pan for approx 60p - didn't use all the potatoes.

RTLL, do you do the masher thingy??
Much more rustic, I also leave the potato skins on.

Sometimes I blend it, sometimes I mash it! I usually do leave the skins on but this time I peeled and blended for a smoother soup. Also found this in today's Guardian, for a sweetcorn chowder, which I might try:

It's sad but I look forward to all these fruit and veg offers now - great to see instead of biscuits and crisps on at BOGOF/half price etc. in the large supermarkets.
    Long may it last.

  • So does anyone have any inclination as to what we can expect next week?

Lynsey - Totally agree with you. Personally if it were up to me I would ban supermarkets from promoting junk food. Although I also much prefer markets for fruit but sadly it is rare I can get to good ones due to where I live.

Look forward to hearing about it...but seeing as their website is talking about weekly offers, instead of the traditional monthly ones, just trying to tidy up the confusion.
