Happy Monday all! Ugh, Monday! It's freezing in our office today, as it is every Monday. It's a big converted church so it's really drafty and horrible. :(

Anyway. I'm a habitual sorter, I hate seeing old, unworn things hanging in my wardrobe. Every few months I pull it all out and sort into three piles: eBay, charity shop, sister. I'm actually a little too brutal sometimes... only this morning I was wishing for a simple black and white tee I donated to charity last month! Bah!

    Here's mine for today:

    Denim pencil skirt
Black and white striped vest with flamingo motif
    Red tights
    Navy cardi
    Long gold hoop design necklace
    Black leather shoe boots
    Big black cocktail ring
Long red floral print cotton scarf

Blog to be updated tonight! :)

I last lost my debit card in August....nd found it yesterday, in my wallet. I have looked dozens of times, my mother and husband both looked through it too. I think it was trying to sve me by hiding. :)
  • Afternoon everyone!

I am full of a cold today so am drinking lots of blackcurrant Lemsip and taking refuge in one of my nice but comfy work outfits:

    - Long sleeved purple scoop neck top (Dorothy Perkins)
    - Charcoal grey wide leg trousers (French Connection)
    - Silver ballet pumps with stick on jewels on toes (New Look - because if you can't have a bit of sparkle when you feel rubbish then when can you?)
    - Electric blue trench coat (New Look) to come into work
    - Usual jewellery
    - Brown leather handbag

Nail polish is the same Revlon one from last week (called Plum Night as I later discovered) and perfume is Gwen Stefani L - yes still, but it is definitely going this week!

In work til five or half past, then home. I'm supposed to do a workout tonight but frankly I feel that rubbish I just want to flump.

    Have a good Monday everyone!

I'm so jealous of everyone's fantastic bargainous purchases! It's harder than I thought it would be to resist buying clothes :(

I'm channeling my inner secretary from the waist up:

White cotton & broderie anglaise vest
    Black cashmere cardi
    White pashmina
    Pearl earrings & necklace
Hair up in a relaxed bun
Black framed specs (I wear these all day everyday so don't usually mention them)

Then my lower half lets the look down a little:

    Faded dark blue jeans
    Black cowboy boots

Hey ho, it looks nice. And I feel so much more shapely since I started losing the weight, it's such a brilliant feeling :)

    Afternoon all!

What a beautiful day. It sounds like you've all been very busy sorting your wardrobes out.

If you can, get hold of an old suitcase, line it with pretty wallpaper (be cheeky and get a few samples next time you're in B&Q) and sprinkle generously with lavender or cedar oil - this keeps the pesky moths at bay and keeps your summer frocks smelling fresh and lovely ready for rediscovery next spring).

GrammarGirl - I'm loving the swallow/bluebird brooch lurking in your jewellery box. My Parisian mannequin came from a skip - I'd always wanted one but they command hideous prices on eBay and I was speechless when I spotted it on the way back from the pub.

    Today's outfit (casual yoga attire):
Purple jersey hareems (H&M via car boot sale 20p)
Grey TopShop vest layered with a purple one (50p each from last thursday's car boot sale)
Vintage silk scarf (50p Salvation Army)
Tooled leather cowboy boots (50p car boot)
Vintage emerald green jacket (Jumble sale 20p)
1960's plastic beaded brooch (20p car boot)
Usual silver bangles, earrings and rings (India)

    Have a lovely monday, all!

Ok, found the card, I had put it in OHs kitchen drawer for some unknown reason and he found it when he went to get something:rolleyes:I see a lot of mannequins in my local car boot every week usually about £10 is that unusual? Also if you happen to have a QDs near you they have wire ones in black or white for £20, I have one in my dressing room with loads of fairy lights wrapped round it:)

Mannequins freak me out a little, but I'd quite like a dressmakers dummy. Not only would I then (hopefully) find some alterations less impossible but I might have another stab at making my own clothes. at school we had dummies and it was much easier when you came to tacking together and checking things. Also, less industriously, I like planning clothes for some things, in advance, it would be nice to have something better to do this/keep them on.

Same here, I've been after a dressmakers dummy for ages now..I make a lot of dresses etc, but would find it a lot easier to see where I was with a dummy..
