Hey lovelies,
Loving all these blogs - I love nosing at what you're wearing, had a wee bit of inspiration from you Grammargirl to get our my dresses - I always put them away when it's cold but instead I've been wearing with boyfriend cardi's & flat boots this weekNot ever sure of what jacket to put on over the top though
Today's outfit here was:
Grey knit dress, short sleeved nautical style with gold buttons at the bust & sleeves - bought in TK Maxx or £1
Thick black Primark tights
Long line black Topshop boyfriend cardi
Flat 'Kate Moss for Topshop' biker boots in a dark grey
Hey Gymfiend! Love the sound of this dress, and the biker boots! I adore wearing dresses and tights when it's chilly - jeans get so boring and I find them so uncomfortable sitting at my desk all day.
At the moment, I'm layering up rather than wearing a jacket - a long sleeved tee underneath, a chunky cardi over the top and a cotton scarf. But I find my leather jacket works really well to toughen up a pretty dress. Blazers are also good. I hope you find something that works!
Goanmad, absolutely love and adore your blog. Where did you get your mannequin from? I've wanted one for years but they're always so expensive. Also, love that sequinned bag. Your clothes are so inspirational!
I've had such a fab Sunday. Found the most amazing parka jacket in TK Maxx, it's this season's Diesel but a slight second... retails at £130 but I got it for £35! AMAZING!! It's the perfect winter coat and I'm so pleased with it. Going to update my blog now!0 -

Thanks lovely! Do you know, before this site I would never have even bothered looking in TK Maxx. I was a full price girl through and through and thought it was just racks and racks of last season's rubbish. It does take patience to rifle through those rails, but when you find bargains that, it's worth it! I've also got a Steve Madden leather jacket from there, RRP was £200 but I paid £50. A few weeks ago I found the most beautiful Hilfiger wool blazer - it was a rich autumnal orange and just so well cut. Unfortunately it was an XS so no good for me, but I've got my eye out and am determined to find it in my size! And then there were the Luella bags... sigh! So many prizes. I love the place now!0 -
Hello lovely people!
Well I've had a manically busy weekend! We're having a new boiler and pipework fitted next week and the boiler is in our bedroom which will be a no go zone for most of the week. No heating or hot water for 3 days- dreading it! So I've been sorting, tidying, packing away and moving furniture all weekend.
Had my hair cut yesterday into a longish bob a la Liv Tyler, except my hair's not so thick. Love it, but it's a bit more work than longer hair!
Two outfits to report back on:
Saturday was:
bright red long fitted jumper dress - H&M £15
black leggings
black pleather boots from last year
I love the jumper it was a fab buy.
Today:
long sleeved t-shirt - DP 2 for £12
stretchy bootcut jeans - no idea, ancient, comfy & my faves
fluffy slippers
I'm watching XFactor - loving Alex & Robbie :j0 -
What a beautiful morning its been so far! The sunrise was absolutly the best so far this autumn: partly for us, because of the time, DH and I saw it together. What a beautiful way to start the week.
I'm feeling the desire to shop, which I'm squashing because I do not want to spend money on clothes right now: to much else to spend money on.
Also: cheaper/less good quality clothes, should I charity shop them or clothes bank them?
I'll be honest, I can't get my head round selling on ebay....and if I did these probably wouldn't be worth it.
Today's job is going through two of my clothes drawers. I noticed a couple of pairs of past their-best-knickers need to be binned/put in a rag bag which suggests the whole drawer could do with a root through.0 -

Agh, I've been meaning to do mine all weekend, have one chest of drtawers which hasn't been opened in ages, so could definitely do with a going through, but I just didn't get round to it on the weekend. Did quite well, didnt' spend anything yday or Saturday, although I took a friend out for drinks on Friday night so that was my spend for the weekend..
Today's outfit is the indigo boots - again!! (Primark)
Black cardi (Topshop) and leggings (Matalan)
Black and blue ruffle layered floral dress (Evie, which I think is Peacocks??) via ebay a long while ago
Black chunky bangle (H&M)
Black cotton scarf (H&M)
Long chain necklace with gorgeous chunky blue/gold wooden heart pendant (River Island)
Going for the intentionally scruffy hair look today too, as I didn't get enough as I 'd like done before work, so no time for straightners..0 -
I really need to do some clothes sorting soon
my drawers and wardrobe are overflowing with old impulse buys (I was terrible from the ages of 17-19) and there is no space for my lovely, and less frequently purchased new things. I'm such a pack rat too.
Nothing exciting going on here today, just some food shopping and blogging on the agenda. Maybe a walk too as it's glorious sunshine.
Wearing:
Dark purple floral summer dress: New Look, 20th birthday present from my brother bless him.
Cream 3/4 sleeve top under dress: New Look organic range a year or so ago
Yellow tights: Primark
Grey boyfriend blazer: New Look
Grey knee high (well, under on me) flat boots: New Look
+ scarf and green/blue/brown short coat when I venture out.
Hope everyone has a fab start to the week! I'm off to make a shopping list, oh the excitement.0 -
whohoo, done my two drawers already...might do another two today!0

Well done LiR - sounds like you're doing well!
I sorted through all my stuff a couple of weeks ago, and packed my summer clothes away in a suitcase out of the way. Makes life much easier.
I also threw out loads of knickers, and then went to LaSenza outlet shop and stocked up. £10 for 10 pairs :T
Today is boiler day!! My car is in for repair (thanks dh for arranging that for today ) and the guy that works for me is off for the week and we're exceptionally busy. Going to be a stressful week I think!!
Today I'm wearing:

black lacy vest - Tesco also lots of years old
bright blue boyfriend cardie - Primark £10
black stilletto ankle boots - £15 in a sale somewhere 3 years ago.
