Oh I want it in every colour! Might flutter my eyelashes sweetly when I go to the interview I'm doing with them ;)

Thanks for the kind words everyone.
Just back from a cold and soggy walk, what happened to yesterday's perfect weather?!

Lol - I'll have a 12 in any of the colours please!

Grammargirl - I agree with your TGIF!!

I have found the solution to the coldness. Go stand outside, no coat, for a couple of minutes. It'll feel lovely and warm when you come back in :rotfl:

    I've been Money Tipped!
tea at a hotel in Covent Garden, bearing in mind that the dress code is 'smart casual'?

    - Purple V neck jumper
    - White vest top or T shirt under jumper
    - Purple and white striped knee length skirt
    - Brown mid calf boots
    - Black tights (if it's cold)

I may have to do some last ditch shopping this afternoon or tomorrow morning but this is my back up outfit, so do you guys think it'll be OK?

Yes. Personally, I'd probaby go for a shirt under the jumper, and again, personally, I wouldn't wear the balck tights it sounds fine. Its been a long time since I had hotel tea (long before new resurgence in fashion) but its what I think of a working meal, like lunch, it shoud slot effortlessly in to your day. :) So I'd be smart and clean, and because I'm me, quite girly, but not too dressy. My mother would say, ''Pearls, Dear, not diamonds'' to mean the same sort of thing.

Hi folks, just getting ready to go into town - need some new winter woolies so off for a browse.

Grammargirl - love your blog. The Laura Ashley blouse was a fab buy and I love your glasses.

Piratefairy, have you got yours up and running yet? I want to see the shoooes!

Finally put the central heating on today, to make sure it works more than anything. It's going off shortly, it's too hot now!

    Today's outfit is:
thin white cotton long sleeve tshirt (M&S)
    long black vest
    black leggings
    black Frye boots
    purple cardigan
    vintage 70s wire choker

Lostinrates, they're not cheap but Craghoppers do fleece lined trousers. Actually, just looked and they're a bit cheaper on the Milletts website, £35.

If you're near a TKMaxx, it's worth looking in there in the active wear bit as they often have Craghoppers cheap. I got a pair of cropped pants for £5 a while back. The fabric is comfortable, doesn't rub and the waists are either part elasticated or have part drawstring adjustment.

    Hello Gang!

Welcome to the thread, Snaffler :hello: - it's always nice when somebody new joins us and we're a friendly lot here.

Sorry about the Guinea Pig, Daisybella :-(

I'm lovely and warm after my swim this morning and I've purchased a pair of shoes to die for this morning so I'm buzzing with excitement at my bargain:
    http://getpalmd.blogspot.com/2009/05/dune-zincs-are-back-in-store.html
There's a stall on my local market that sells ex-Schuh, Jones and Dune stock at discount prices, most have been used for photo shoots or catwalk shows so just worn slightly. As I've been shopping there for years I get a great discount, these beauties cost me £7 :j:j

    Today's outfit:
Dark grey American Apparel scoop neck teeshirt dress (50p from yesterdays' car boot sale)
TopShop Baxter skinny jeans (£1 car boot)
Vintage black leather high heel knee boots with faux snake inserts (£2 car boot years ago)
Black leather collar with fake gemstones (Chazza shop £2)
Cobalt blue cropped tailored jacket with elbow length sleeves (TopShop sale 3 years ago £10)
Bright blue crochet snood (Chazza shop 25p)
Two Urban outfitters bangles in purple with peacock feather design (From yesterday's car boot haul 50p each)
Vintage Biba black plastic bangle in a wierd shape (hand-me-down from my mum)
Silver ball and bell earrings (ditto)
Black oversized 1950's bag on gold frame with yellow rose print (20p car boot)

Off to do eBaying now then it's another night on the town later.
    Have a happy friday!

My mum's words to me were - "can you walk in them?" I mean, for heaven's sake, when on earth has that been important!

    Hi everyone:)

I have been very naughty and lazy and instead of getting my winter stuff out of the loft I bought some more:rolleyes:I blame my daughter who I took shopping yesterday in search of a dress (no easy task where I live) for a big party she is going to tonight and ended up buying myself bits and pieces to add to my already groaning clothes collection, oh dear should never have gone into town;)

    Anyway todays outfit is

Brown pink and sliver baggy check shirt - local shop
Pink T Shirt underneath - New Look (its my daughters)
    Brown leggings - local shop
Dark beige/brown flat biker boots - Aldo

Beige/brown Gucci bag - its very very old but a fav

Sad news about the Guinea Pig Daisybella:(

Hope everyone has a great weekend, I shall be spending mine sorting out winter clothes:)
Thank you for this site Martin
The time for change has come
    Good luck for the future

    Morning all
    *yawns*
I've been up since before 6 as it was coollllld. Found some extra layers but wasn't worth going back to bed as I had to be up to shower and get ready for work at 7.
So normal Tesco attire for me again this morning,
only have a short shift, until 11:30am which is probably just as well given the mood I'm in,
I do hope I don't get any awkward customers, I might just lose it :o

After work popping in to see my Grandparents
and am taking the following to change in to:

Grey + patterned jersey dress with pom pom detail: £12 Ethel Austin
Black tights: Tesco (work ones, lol)
    Black ballet flats: £16 Next
    Denim Shirt: £20 New Look
And what ever winter coat falls out the wardrobe at me first :o

    Have a great day all
    xoxox
  • Hi guys, not been on here for a while (well not since all the rubbish we were getting with the daily thread) so it's good to see we now have a thread of our own yay:j
Not sure the plans for today yet so my outfit is not known... what I do know is that I have not put my tan on and am looking mighty white so I'll be covered right up. First day ever that I am praying for the sun not to come out!!!
