I was thinking about over the knee black uggs but I'm just not sure
at first I thought it was an age thing (41) but now I think its more that they cost so much and will look dated quickly, cant decide.......
Thank you for this site MartinThe time for change has comeGood luck for the future0 -

Edit - duh!! I just realised u wanted over the knee ones, these are only calf length! But still a brilliant bargain..
Hey don't worry I love looking at your guys' blogs anyway and those boots are cute, but I've decided to only buy max two pairs of boots this season, prob one over knee and one ankle both as cheap as possible.

Not going for the over the knee style myself, as I hate my legs anyway and can't see how that won't make them look worse. Although I did see some nice grey ones in River Island at the weekend, £150 a bit steep tho!!0

Oh no, more shoe talk! I'm majorly craving over knee boots. Just as well I'm broke for the next little while after recent spending antics0

Ooh and another thing, I wonder if you guys can help me, I'm coveting a pair of flat black over the knee boots and have seen a great matalan pair in mags and on tv but everytime I check in store they never have them and they're not online, and I was just wondering if anyone knew when matalan get deliveries or if any of you go there anyway maybe you could just see if they've come in yet, only if you're going anyway obv.
They're the ones on this page: http://www.shoeperwoman.com/2009/08/matalan-shoes-winter-2009.html
Let me know what you think of them and thanks girlies x
Hi Erichamster! Sorry to hear of the car boot being rained off, I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed for the thursday one 'cos it's my absolute favourite. Don't forget to post any bargains you get on the eBay forum if you do go at the weekend.
I went to Matalan yesterday and saw the shoes. We've got 2 Matalans in our town and the smaller one of the two had the full range. The studded shoes were quite nice, if a little plastic-y. Some were half price but I find Matalan shoes are quite generously sized and sadly far too big for me (even with socks).
Lostinrates: Hope you're feeling a bit happier. I don't do practical clothing very well but have a look at Sweaty Betty for comfy pants - they specialise in yoga gear, high quality, a bit pricey but quite stylish none-the-less. Here's a link (hope it works!):

Ooh boots! My favourite subject at the moment. Dh has given me some money today to buy some, so I took myself off to Next.
I really like these ones, which are over the knee and just £10 over your budget: http://www.next.co.uk/shopping/women/shoes/22/8
But I'd spotted these ones online which I really like too. They didn't have them in the shop so have ordered them: http://www.next.co.uk/shopping/women/shoes/38/10
Grammargirl - I loved the yellow dress you had on yesterday.
A bit boring today!!
Black tunic with a sort of frill detail at the bottom - Asda £8
Black leggings - Top Shop £12
Black slouchy pleather boots - Can't remember where from or how much, got them last year and they're rather worn!!
Tealish long short sleeve thick cardie - Wallis £35 less 20%
Lots of silver necklaces and bracelets.0 -

Hi Goanmad, can I ask did you see the over the knee boots from the link I posted earlier at all? Or any over the knee looking boots?
Oh and this is weird I searched on google for "matalan over the knee boots" and found this page
http://www.matalan.co.uk/fcp/product/fashion-to-buy-online/Footwear/grey-neon-edged-platform-shoe-boot/7243
Its some shoe boots, but underneath the it says desigener recommends and shows the boots I want, but when I click on them it says 0 items found or something, curious? What does anyone think it means? Its driving me slightly mad I thinkxx
Thanks for the pm Daisybella, your blogs great xStarted Comping 25th September 2013.

Matalan shoes are outrageously over-sized! I'm a reliable size 8 in absolutely everything (except Uggs but everyone knows you go down a size in them). I rarely try pumps on (do with heels to test comfort levels) so picked up some red patent ones from Matalan in my usual size 8 and let me tell you, it's the first time in my life I've felt like I have small feet! They're like boats! Which is a real shame because they're so pretty and I lost the receipt so can't return them. Sob.0 -

That's soo true!! I'm an 7-8 as well, and have found that even the 7s are almost too loose to be comfy in Matalan. Also Primark seem to be doing massive shoes recently..It really annoys me when they change things like that, as I hate trying things on until I get home..0 -
Morning all
The winter coat made an appearance this morning! Pleasingly, it's about 2 sizes too big now but as I love it so and it barely got worn last year when it was new, I'm going to try and get as much wear out of it as possible. It's not a fitted style, more like an A line/cape effect (can you describe a coat like that?) so I don't think it looks daft now that it's too big.
And in other coat news I found a black velvet blazer in the back of my wardrobe and it fits :j It's two sizes smaller than I was about two months ago, woohoo!
So today it's:
Black jeans - Evans
Black tunic - Dotty P's
Grey cardi - Tesco
Black ankle boots - Office
Blue and green glass beaded chain - Accessorize
A multitude of green and blue enamel and plain silver bangles - car boot sale, nicked from Mum and can't remember respectively
Blue enamel diamond shaped dangly earrings
Grey checked winter coat with black toggles
Grey knitted fingerless gloves0
