Very happy to report that my other hip hasn't deteriorated badly enough to warrant a total replacement on the other side just yet. :j

    Good news!!

I just turned 39, it's to have people of a similar age here.

I'm trawling the internet for boots, tried some on in Brantano and Next today but just can't decide what I want!

Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes! The hotel was amazing - I had told them it was my birthday so they upgraded us - when we arrived there was loads of paparazzi outside - dont know who they were waiting for but a bit surreal to see! Im getting old now - 29

Well done GrammarGirl, it's looking fab!! Mine's still going nowhere..I have the outfits from the last week or so pictured, but no words as yet..

I'm not liking today's outfit either..Could not be bothered to get up this morning, and when I did I had to do my Wii Fit, and iron a skirt, and tidy up a bit, so it was put togetehr in a bit of a rush and I'm not happy with it..

White / blue rose print skirt (H&M), bought in my London spree in Jan (£20ish)..
    Black vest, leggings and cardi..
Blue flat pixie boots, Office (managed to talk the sales girl down to £10 for them)
Black Primark waist belt with gold knot buckle detail< £3..

Gave my hair a bit of a cut this morning too, got quite a lot done considering I didn't get up early enough..

    Morning

Mrs_Ryan that sounds fab :) Glad you had such a lovely time.

Grammar girl I've just had a nosey on your blog, it looks brilliant, well done!

Been lurking for a few days as I've been lounging around like a hobo, but today I'm gonna get dressed properly!! Plan is:
    Short sleeve white top
Dark blue Primark dress, bit like a pinafore but fits high up - bought last week for £13
Kate Moss for Topshop black/grey calf flat boots
Thick black tights (Primark's 'hold it all in' tights :D)
Bag will be my new one from Faith - it's this one bought it at full price then saw it in the sale a few days later, returned & bought again :D
Coat...I'm not sure, maybe long grey cardi & see if it's too cold, if so then I'll wear my grey leather jacket too.

Picked up a Fred Perry cardi in the chazza shop yesterday for £7, looks like it's never been worn & I'm loving it, thought it's slightly more than I'd normally pay second hand I reasoned that even a Primark one would cost more - in the wash now to be worn tomorrow :D
    Baby Boy arrived March 25th 2010 - 17 days late & 8lb 10oz :j

    GrammarGirl- LOVING your blog
Goan- fab news on your hip :D
Gymfiend- I love your new bag, oh no, I want a new bag now :o I'm addicted.

    I'll post my outfit later,
I'm being totally lazy today as it's hammering rain outside so I'm in boxer shorts, a vest and my ancient dressing gown :p

GrammarGirl - wow! Love the blog and you are just so pretty and stylish in real life! Not a bit jealous, honest. (I am really coveting those lovely green pumps though :o )

It's the weather for sou'westers and galoshes today :( I woke up excessively late for work though so I had to chuck on any old thing and dash out. So it's black jeans, black tunic, grey long line cardi, silver owl pendant and a pair of trainers, fetchingly accessorised with a big red brolly.

GrammarGirl - your blog is great. I tried to leave you a comment last night, but my t'internet was a bit rubbish.
    Gymfiend - nice bag!!

Well I'm still on the hunt for a nice and cheap pair of boots. I refuse to pay too much for them ebay, the prices some people are paying are just silly. So, I just got sniped on a fab pair, but wouldn't have paid that much for them. Maybe I'm just tight??!!

    Today I'm wearing:
    black vest top - M&S
    bright pink v-neck fitted jumper - M&S £15
black tulip skirt - £10 Primarni
    black opaques
black knee length boots - Next £80 (but a birthday pressie last year)
    black long cardie - M&S £25

Having a bit of a wardrobe malfunction though - the zip on my skirt keeps coming down, and it's really warm in the office so I don't need my cardie on. Glued to my chair now. Any ideas what I can do with the zip? The skirt is quite new.
  • Morning all!

It's grim up here - we're forecast three inches of rain today  On the other hand, I have had some very good news this morning; apparently all the paperwork has gone through and I should soon be getting paid for my internship! :j I don't expect it to be very much - minimum wage at most as it's only really a token job - but it's still going to be nice to get paid and should hopefully help me on my way massively to sorting out my debts and starting saving.

    Anyway, my outfit today is:

    - Turquoise V neck jumper (Dorothy Perkins via eBay)
    - Black camisole with lace trim (Primark) under jumper
    - Black pinstripe straight leg trousers (Dorothy Perkins)
    - Black Victorian style ankle boots with buttons (New Look)
    - Electric blue trench coat (New Look) to come into work

    - Brown leather handbag
    - Usual jewellery (same as yesterday)

Perfume and nail polish are the same as yesterday (I know turquoise and purple don't quite go but I didn't have time to take it off yesterday!).

In work until half five, then home to tidy my bedroom and start packing for my trip to London on Friday.

    Have a good Tuesday everyone!

If the zip's properly broken and it's a skirt you want to keep, find an alteration place and ask them to put a new one in (unless you're handy with a needle and can do it yourself - not an option for me really :rotfl:)

If that happens with jeans I tend to hook a keyring ring through the little hole on the zip and over the button on the jeans which keeps it up but I suppose you've not really got that option on a skirt

    *isn't much help, sorry!*
