Vicki, you could give Twinks Hobnobs a try? People on the OS board swear by them! They are rather yummy
 TWINKS HOBNOBS
this is the recipe i use
 8oz sr flour
 8oz sugar
 8oz porridge oats
 8oz margarine
 1tbsp golden syrup
 1tbsp hot water
 1/2 tsp bic soda
 - mix flour, oats and sugar in a bowl
 - melt marg, syrup and water in a pan stir in bic soda and add to dry mix, mix well
 - make smallish balls and put on greased tray and flatten slightly with a fork, 180oc for 15 mins, cool on the tray, you just want them golden in oven not brown
I melt the butter/syrup and water in the microwave, so no stove needed!

            Afternoon all,
All this talk of cakes is making me hungry but I've given it all up for Lent inc Alcohol:eek: I must be mad.
It was white over here this morning so todays outfit is
 Leggings - Tesco
Blue jumper dress - Next sale
Uggs (Ultimate- chestnut) bought in US
it was going to be long black boots but they have no grip so not ideal for this lovely weather we're having:o
Luckily its melting now but its forecast again later in the week.
Popped into M&S today in my lunch break and they had 'treggings' in the Limited Collection dept - was very tempted but resisted, though I know I'll probably be back before the end of the week for them:o0

Vicki, those muffins sound lush! I might have to adapt it though... I have no raspberries, only applesauce and overripe plums. It might work - I'll give it a bash. Maybe throw in some raisins rehydrated with chai to give it a kick too.
I love recipe books, but appear to be unable to follow a recipe properly...!
 Outfit (is now worth mentioning)
 Black opaque tights
Black embroidered skater skirt (La Redoute)
 Green cowl neck sweater (George)
 Green heeled brogues (Matalan)
 Green bow hairband (DP)
No jewellery but tons of makeup.
I discovered a scuffed bit on the shoes and had to colour it in with a green Sharpie. :rotfl:"All cruelty springs from weakness" - Lucius Annaeus SenecaPersonal pronouns are they/them/their, please.

            Oh Moonbabe, they sound lovely!
The problem with most child friendly recipes is that they have such a lot of sugar in. I can't wait until he can be trusted near the hob then we can do some healthier things.0

Magpye i'm sure it'll be fine. I can never follow a recipe either!0

Forgot to say that the recipe makes around 24 very large biscuits!(start off with balls a little smaller than golf balls, end up with biscuits around 12cm in diameter!) Will probably half the mix next time I make it and have slightly smaller ones!Expecting Baby No 1 - 20/06/14 - Team Yellow!0
