we have a coffee eve planned soon anyway as part of the centenary year, and were planning to have a kind of swap-shop thing there (i've not done it before but one of the other leaders explained to me that they had asked the girls to bring things in and given them tokens for their items, and then "sell them" to others for a token value..?) not sure if that will work, think a jumble sale would be a better idea on a different occasion.
That's a bit like swishing then isn't it? I can't see that working with girls of that age tbh. Jumble sale is much better idea.0 -

A coffee evening sounds ideal but the leader's idea sounds complicated to run. Wouldn't a simple "Bring and Buy" be easier? It's a good time of year for their families to donate unused Xmas pressies for a good cause. They get a chance to declutter and maybe find a bargain at the same time?0 -
No snow here yet and I've been in doors all day except when travelling to uni and it wasn't too cold then..but the coal fire has been going all day so hopefully it will be toasty when I get home

Back to bed with you, with a cup of something, did you find the Horlicks yet....could you have a weaker normal horlicks? (or a tiny amount to satisfy craving, an egg cups worth or something?...I think if your body asks you then you should try and give it...)0 -
I have fennel tea, the cat and a blanket and I'm on my bed with laptop

and the lovely Mariel is playing horlicks fairy
