Hi all! Chatty as usual today =)

Today would have been yet another nice chilled day but I'm here there and everywhere in the role of Mum's Taxis. Still at least it means I've had a couple of hours in the house on my own, doesn't happen often!

    today's outfit -

    Joe Brown's dress
purple armwarmers from Katwise on Etsy (cold hands today!)
    black diamond opaques
    black fringed moccasin boots
multi strand necklace of multicoloured tiny beads that I thrifted a couple of weeks ago.
    Will blog it later!

Hope everyone's ok, Daisy I'll prob get that stuff in the post today.

aw thanks Mariel, no rush though :o
  • I've just had a text from a friend to tell me that she's left a recovery group we are part of to do something different, I feel really sad and just want to cry at the computer. (but won't because I'm at auni and have a lot of pride!!)

Organised shopping is the best way! It's how I curbed my impulse buying habits and it gives me a real sense of satisfaction to tick things off my list!
I'm also quite sad and budget a max price I'll pay for each piece, I love coming in under budget and having spare money for a nice coffee!

I'm going to make a great big list. I love listmaking. Not so sure about budgeting per item but I'm definitely going to set myself a total amount to spend. If anything's left over I'm spending it on books :D
am watching this on ebay but I think I'm too tight to part with a min of £21 for it including postage

Ohhh that's nice. You can probably find something very similar for a lot cheaper if you hunt around though.

I'm having ebay struggles. There's a very nice pair of flat IC sandals on there but a bit too pricey and I can't buy them till next week anyway. Fingers very tightly crossed they're still around once I've been paid.
  • I feel so silly because I've only known her for about 6 months but some people in life I really connect with and she was one of them. We might stay in touch but it won't be the same, there always seems to a be a stronger tie with someone who you are walking along side to a common solution and when their solution becomes different you have to take a step back.

I know it sounds like I'm probably talking in riddles and in the third person but that's ok

I usually set myself a budget of £10 if I'm going to the charity shops to spend on what I want. Sometimes I go over my a quid or two but if I didn't set myself a budget I'd buy everything on a whim, at least having a budget means I really think about whether I want something or not...and it means that I'm brave enough to haggle!

No, I think I get what you mean, I've had a lot of friendships like that, where the bond seems to be much more intense/stronger because of common ground.
If you want to talk about it to someone, my PM box is open :o
