It's freezing here too, no snow but the sky is the colour of slate! (It might actually be too cold for snow...) So I've blogged my food for today instead of my outfit. I might outfitblog later once I've tried on my new boots (eBay! curse you!)

  • daisy - fennel tea is an interesting choice

Caroline hurrah for not being dressed at 3 in the afternoon :D

I worked a night shift - so only just got up. I wish I could laze about all day!

10 pages to catch up on since yesterday! I went out for dinner with some friends last night, but something I ate did not seem to agree with me so have been up all night ill :(

Am currently wearing a flattering combo of spotty pj bottoms, grey vest top, fluffy dressing gown and hot water bottle. OH did kindly pop home at lunchtime with a wireless thingymabob for my laptop so I could use it in bed though :)

Hope everyone is having a good day. Would try and catch up on conversations but think that is verging on impossible!

I'm like this, I love to get up and outside early, no matter what the season! I like a good walk on a Saturday/Sunday morning, when it's frosty it's gorgeous but when it's warm on a summer's morning it's even nicer.

With jumble sales, PirateFairy, just pop leaflets through local folks' doors and get the Guides to ask their families to have a clear out. You'd have to get the church hall to let you have a room to keep donations. On the evening before the pre-arranged date get the donations heaped up on tables then you charge admission at the door (10p in poor areas and up to £1 in posh ones.) My Mum's friend's guide group usually make about £200

You could try a table top sale whereby you'd charge people £5-£7 per table and maybe 50p admission for buyers at the door.

I'd love to organise something like this! I've been thinking about doing it for ages...

I'm not an organised shopper but I look at something I like and I decide how much I would pay for it and then I look at the price label. If it's under I get it and if it's over I don't.

This is exactly what I do. I sometimes have a margin of (say) 10% if I reeeallly love it though lol. You, me and lostinrates - great minds!!!! :rotfl:

this is nice, but looking at it in store the other day it looks really short..
    .

My god you lot can natter! 5 pages to catch up on:eek::rotfl:

I have a dress a bit like this which I love but havent worn yet...its white floral though and has a cut away bit at the back with a bow above it....the only problem I have with it is you can see my bra line through th cut away bit and it makes it look tacky.....its a shame I love it so much its a very 50's style shape and the rest of it looks great but dont think it would work with a vest under it to cover the back....and I cant possibly go bra less!

Now *shhhh* let me catch up! lol

is it a topshop one retro?? i have a few like that from last year, which i love, and usually find that a strapless bra in a back size that's too big is ok for them, as i can then manoeuvre the strap lower than the cut of the dress..
