Goan, I have been looking at yoga and pilates classes recently. Would you recommend them for generally improving someones fitness level? I currently do no exercise :S and think I need to start doing some!

Definately! I've always swum and walked everywhere and started to notice I was getting out of breath easily. Not ony have yoga and pilates toned me up but I've got lots more energy, improved posture and exercise really increases your self-confidence and mood. Go for it xxx

I think I've just about caught up with yesterday's posts.
It seems very sad that so many of you young, lovely girls have such insecurities. Life's just too short to dwell on things that cannot be changed, make the most of now and be happy. Life passes by so quickly and it's such a waste to dwell on anything.

What a lovely post!!! :) Thank you for those words of wisdom, which I shall copy into my diary right now xoxo

I'd love to go back to yoga (used to do it 3x/week) but the classes here have become very expensive. Bikram yoga in particular, it's about £7 a class, yikes! But it does wonders for me and my current joint probs might benefit from it...

    :T

this is going in my recovery motivation book

    I'm exhausted already
still got fondant stars to sort out and icing to make and slather over the cakes. Haha.
It's so miserable and damp outside my walk wasn't enjoyable at all, would have stayed in if I'd been organised yesterday and got everything that I needed.
C'est la vie, I'm taking a well deserved tea break!

Hope everyone is feeling MUCH better today.

I'm not allowed to yoga ATM. I notice I am considerably less flexible, and I also miss the quiet mind time.

I feel really sad about some of the things that I've recently sold or am currently selling on ebay, I'm finding it quite hard to let go even though the shoes and clothes are stuff that I'm never going to wear, doesn't stop them being pretty though.

What size stuff have you got to get rid of daisy?

I'm like this too, I actually withdrew a listing as couldn't bear to part with a particular dress lol!!! :o

daisybella, PM me your eBay name xo

  • Yes moonbabe, I would totally recommend yoga & pilates for great exercise / toning, I love them both and try to go to as many classes as I can fit into life

Feeling much more positive today, had a long talk with him last night, and told him that i can't put up with the way he treats me, and he agreed that he has been taking me for granted and values my help and froendship so will be making an effort to act better. I'm in turn going to not let him affect me so much.

Currently on a break at an employment law seminar, brushing up on my HR skills :/

    outfit is:
blue tulip skirt (it's been blogged before, not v exciting but I wasn't feeling that inspired..)
black vest and shrug and tights
    black glittery heels
    black scarf, and beret, h&m
    blue leather glove
    blue cocktail heart shape ring..

    Cath up later xx

Right you bunch ofwhingers...enough. You are all pretty enough, most of us (with fond exceptions) are healthy enough to get by, the bodies work for us, we love them with clothes and pampering.

Save your pity for those who need it...love your healthy bodies, dress them in bright clothes and style, and accessorize with a big smile and oversized sunglasses.

edit: those of us who aren't healthy must do the best we can. we need ribbons or make up as well as sunglasses. Now, stop counting what we haven't got and enjoy what we have. grrr...

    (tough love)

Thanks for this post too! (((LIR))) I might just copy and paste these inspirational posts into a book, wish I could press the thanks button more than once sometimes.

    (((((hugs))))) also to piratefairy. :A

p.s. I can hardly keep up with this thread so sorry if I don't reply to someone whose post I haven't seen. :o

  • Think I will have to give the Yoga a try. Is £10 for an hour and half Hatha Yoga classes, which doesn't seem too bad. Definitely need to do some form of exercise, get out of breath running up 2 flights of stairs! Plus doing something constructive with my spare time will be good!

PF, yay for talking things through with him. At least now he might understand how you feel and hopefully be more considerate to you and your feelings!

Daisy, hope you didnt get too soaked! Your cake sounds yummy!

Think everyone needs an inspirational good talking to now and then!

Put your feet up for a while daisy, it's too early in the day to wear yourself out!

Despite the freezing weather and the general lack of sleep and gloom and chaos that is my workplace at the moment, I'm feeling rather good. So hurrah!

Excellent news :) But you can always gripe on here about him if he's being a pain in the derriere again!

I'm quite liking all this motivational posting - will try and let it sink in a bit :o
