I think that about my legs, I've got quite muscular (sp?) thighs but I'v reached the place where being comfortable comes first...well that and starting to care less what people think. Heels always add a bit of length but I'm too lazy most of the time to wear them! Control leggings are a god send cos they hold you in like skinny jeans do.
Having said that I still struggle to wear short skirts with my legs...my not caring only goes so far at the mo. Shame cos I've got some lovely skirts I don't wear!*wonders when they will make dressing gowns acceptable day wear?*No new toiletries challenge - use up the stash first!NSD Jan 2/150 -
I'd love to be able to buy leggings that go over my feet but with a 36" inside leg that's never going to happen unless I go to a shop where they sell clothes for stiltwalkers! I wear them quite short as I think it deflects the eye away from my skinny ankles and also makes my legs look a bit shorter - they are out of proportion long (and before anyone says it yes, you are a whole lot more than welcome to have as many inches as you would like!). I've got a pair that are long enough to reach my ankle and the bottom half is ruched which works well, adding inches where I need them.
Is everyone going to start showing off their jewellery? That would be brilliant, I love jewellery!0 -
I need to make a point to wear more jewellery. I have so much and make so much yet never really remember to put it on in the morning

I might do a week long jewellery challenge.0 -

Where does one get such a thing? I never realised they existed! I'd love to try the dress over leggings look but my legs are currently like tree stumps so have a bit of a block when it comes to leggings but maybe these could be worth a go.
Daisy - Not to drag it up aain but have only just read back through as am at home now (damn work spoiling my fun!) I would hate for you to give up writing your blog just because of some stupid faceless idiots behind a computer screen. They are probably just jealous and insecure themselves. Maybe try activiting the moderated comments - I wouldn't have unmoderated ones on my blog so I can check them first. Obviously if you decide you do want to step back for a bit then thats fine too but don't let these nasty people put you off *hugs*
Picked up the shoes I brought from the Post Office and they are really nice. Have had to immediately put them in a plastic box and add them to the others before OH gets home

Gosh you lot can chat!
I have only just started with 'proper' jewellery really. I tend to wear the same things all the time, so having some nice silver pieces is good and has stopped my neck going green.
What do you lot do when it's as cold and as miserable as it has been today? I'm feeling very cold and very miserable atm and would like my outfits to cheer me up a bit but it's hard with so many layers and dull colours.0 -
tsabo- I struggle with miserable when it's cold and lots of layers are required. Bright accessories might help? and lots of hot tea/coffee!0

Lost, please don't worry. I know I'm doing pretty poorly at the moment and I'm waiting for an urgent re-referral to ED specialists to come through, hopefully in the next couple of weeks, waiting lists provided and until then attempting to keep myself afloat.
Actually, one of the things that has been playing on my mind today has been whether to keep posting outfits on my blog, or to take a break for a while as I've had a lot of comments (some nasty) and e-mails (mainly concern) and I don't want to put out the wrong impression that I embrace what is happening.
Anyone have any thoughts?
(sorry to be so mememe)
I love your blog hun and I would miss it if you didn't post....please don't let those comments get to you from what Ive read (and I haven't read your comments til you mentioned this) for every one bad or nasty comment you have 100 fantastic ones...I think it was Lost that suggested maybe addressing the issue on your blog? You need to use it as a tool to express yourself however you see fit, be that posting outfits that make you feel good or getting your thoughts on paper (well cyber paper).......((hugs))) take care of yourself and stuff the rest of them x**"Yesterday is gone. i think Primark have them in their underwear section...seen some control leggings last time I was in...they look just like normal leggings....dunno if this is what was meant?**"Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow has not yet come. We have only today. Let us begin."**0 -
I wear earrings/studs and wedding ring most days, and two bracelets (one wooden one pearl). I love pretty things but feel uncomfortable often wearing the ''real'' jewelery I have because it risks being lost or stolen. I love cheerful pretty things. I used to go to venice a lot and always bought or was given a pair of inexpensive glass earrings or bracelets etc. I was meant to be going in March again, but not sure I'll make it now (my glass this time was going to actually be glasses though, not jewelery)0

Primark in the underwear section I think they are either £4 or £6. They come in black, grey and navy. Try them on before you buy cos primark sizes cn be a bit funny sometimes.*wonders when they will make dressing gowns acceptable day wear?*No new toiletries challenge - use up the stash first!NSD Jan 2/150
